The tomato is one item in the kitchen you're hardly ever without.
Perhaps that is why most of us take the tomato for granted
and don't appreciate the tremendous health and beauty benefits it brings.
Tomatoes are great for the skin as they have cooling and astringent properties.
They are rich in Vitamin C making it helpful for acne and brightening dull skin.
Tomatoes also contain Vitamin A which is needed for healthy skin.
Its naturally acidic so it helps balance the skin and get rid of excessive oil.
Tomatoes contain lycopene, which is rich in antioxidants.
Plus, the tomato is great for anti-aging...who doesn't love that?!
- 1 tomato
- clean face
Thoroughly cleanse face and pat dry.
Slice off a piece of tomato and gently rub all over face.
Try and get some of the tomato pulp on your face.
Leave on your face for 15 minutes or up to an hour.
Rinse off with cold water.
Cold water closes skin pores and helps keep bacteria from spreading, and it seals in the moisture.
You can do this 2 -3 times a week.
WARNING: If you are allergic to tomatoes than DON'T put the tomato on your face.
Don't worry, I will soon be posting about other natural ingredients that are in your kitchen
that will do the same thing for your face as tomatoes.
