My darling husband surprised me the other day with some beautiful pink roses
and they reminded me of the china set I received before I got married.
So I brought out a few dishes, made some cookies
and enjoyed a few moments of quietness and fond memories.
The first time I used this china set was at our wedding;
the wedding party table was set with the dishes.
The second I saw these dishes I fell in love with them
because they have pink roses on them
and I have mentioned I have a weakness for roses.
But I also loved them because they are called 'Stephanie'
which you all know is my name :)
Anytime I use these dishes I think back to our precious wedding day
and I praise the Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful and godly man!
I love him dearly!
Now, won't you enjoy a moment of quietness
and maybe bake some delightfully tasting cookies?
Easy Buttery Cookies
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups butter, softened
4 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine the sugar and butter in a large bowl, mix until creamy.
Slowly add the flour.
Place the mixture on a floured surface and pat to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Mix 1/2 cup white sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon
and sprinkle on top of cookies.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
If you want, you can half the recipe
and these cookies freeze well.
Have a wonderful day!
"Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD."
