T-Shirt Christmas Ornaments

Well, tomorrow is the last day for a tutorial on the t-shirt rosette flowers.
I hope you have enjoyed them :)
I certainly enjoyed making the items and sharing them with you, dear friends.
I made some cute Christmas ornaments using t-shirts
and applied the t-shirt rosettes to them.
Do you realize Christmas is only 2 months away!
Time to get started on Christmas crafts :)

Yes, we have some snow...and I LOVE it! :)
It actually started snowing while I was outside taking these pictures.
My sweet son is ready to go sledding...so am I.
When I was done taking pictures,
I had a cozy fire burning and a freshly brewed pot of coffee awaiting my return.
So lovely :)
This was the first time our Rosie-Girl experienced snow and she actually enjoyed it.

Okay enough of my rambling
and onto the ornament tutorial.

Items needed:

3 inch Styrofoam balls
t-shirts or any kind of fabric
embroidery floss or string
needle
hot glue
scissors
tape measure
embellishments

Click on this link:
for the tutorial.

Cut your fabric into strips.
I used a smaller t-shirt so I had to cut 3 strips that were 43 inches long and 2 inches wide.
And one more strip that was 21 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide.
This covered the whole Styrofoam ball.

This is the same concept as the t-shirt flowers.
You fold the end into a triangle and hot glue it on to the Styrofoam ball.
Twist and hot glue.

When you get to the end of one strip, this is what you do.

When you get to the end just tuck it in and hot glue down.

 And voila!

Using your needle and embroidery floss,
make a loop to hang your ornament from the Christmas tree.

And that's it.
So go create some beautiful Christmas ornaments :)
This snowman is my absolute favorite.
I used a strip of t-shirt fabric and tied it on for his scarf.
His white hat is a twisted rosette.

I hot glued pearl beads around the rosette.

And these ornaments look beautiful if you don't want to put anything on them.
They would even look cute in a pretty glass bowl on the table.

Happy creating!

Ohhh... Those are absolutly adorable!!! This post made me think of Christmas with those fun ornaments, the snow on the trees, and then little Missy Rose out for the first time in the snow.
I am amazed at your gift of talent and your wonderful way of explaining the "how too" for those of us that are not so crafty.
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Thank you for sharing with us this week! I look forward to one more day of tutorials. :)

The Lord bless you!

My sister,
How have you been. It's been long time?
I missed a lot of awesome things and DIY on this blog.

I would love to try on Christmas, last year mom and me tried using ping pong ball.
I told my mom many times about you that you have brilliant ideas :)

Miss you!

Praying for you as always,

Delvalina

Stephanie,
Your Mom and I were juat talking Wednesday about your craftiness! You have some pretty amazing talent and are so creative! Because of you I summoned my Mom to teach Aliyah and I how to sew. I can't wait to learn :-)
We are so ready for the Winter season, Aliyah and I spent most of yesterday working in the kitchen and had Christmas music playing in the background!
Thanks for sharing!

What great ornaments! I'm pinning this one. I needed a new idea as I make ornaments for my nieces and nephew every year. This may end up being the idea for 2012. I like that I could use the same basic idea but create very different ornaments as you have.
