Lace LOVE Vase

My precious son was with me the other day when I went to the grocery store.
He walked over to the flowers and said,
"Mommy, I want to buy you some pink flowers."
My heart melted at his sweetness - he certainly takes after his daddy :)
Of course I couldn't say no to his darling face
so he picked up a pink bouquet, carried them through the store
and gave them to me when we got home.

I decided the flowers needed a special vase
so that afternoon this is what I made....

It's getting close to Valentine's Day so maybe you would like to make a vase
for flowers you might receive :)

Here is what you need:
felt
lace
glass jar (I used a spaghetti sauce jar that I had saved)
rhinestone
scissors
hot glue
hot glue gun

Measure the jar
and cut a strip of felt and lace that fits around the jar.
Hot glue the ends of the lace onto the felt.

Cut out letters, hearts or whatever you want
to use to decorate your jar.

Apply the rhinestone to your heart
and then hot glue the word to the strip of felt.
Wrap the felt around the jar and hot glue the ends together.

Your vase is ready for beautiful flowers!
