Time Spent In The Woods

Hello friends, I hope you had a nice long weekend and Memorial day.
Did you do anything special?

My family and I enjoyed some time in the woods yesterday.

We went up to about 11,500 feet and played in the snow :)

I am so thankful my husband was driving
since I definitely would have gotten us stuck in several places.
My son had a blast as we "plowed" through the cold, white stuff.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch by a refreshing stream.
The water was quite cold, but its sweet, trickling music was very relaxing.

We came across a beautiful lake.
The love of my life and me snapped a picture together :)

The views were breathtaking!
I live in the mountains, yet I never grow tired of the beauty.
Our Lord's creation is truly magnificent!

I do hope your long weekend was a blessing.
I would love to hear about what you did.

Have a delightful week!

Beautiful the scenery and You and the love of your life. We went to church on Sunday and Monday we stayed home. My daughter, granddaughter and grandson came for a visit, her husband had to work on Memorial Day.
It is quiet and peaceful around here, been enjoying it and the birds singing.
Hope you have a blessed day,

hugs, Sylvia

Hi Stephanie,

We live about an hour's drive from such scenery. We also "visit" the snow from time to time.

We usually came in early summer at our favorite campsite about 1 1/2 hours form our home. I love the mountains and would miss them much if we ever move; my husband has a habit of talking about moving.

We enjoyed a restful Memorial Day weekend and visited our Old Town for the traditional Jazz Fest music.

Hope you have a restful week.

Ohhh...you and your sweetie make such an adorable couple! Looks like your hubby has the exact same 'outfit' as mine, they must shop at the same clothing store, hahahaha!!

Such beautiful scenery and still finding snow in May, we have had it in the North Cascades too, so very strange but pretty none the less.

Have a sweet day. xxoo

So beautiful and now I'm homesick for my Montana mountains and the rides Sam and I used to take in them! I love the picture of you two! What a great day and thank you for sharing it with us!

Oh Stephanie, you are so lucky to have the mountains so close. I love to vacation in them. There is something about the peace and God' s presence in the mountains. You and your sweetie look so cute together! xo

Your scenery is amazing, and I have to say, I miss the snow here in the UK!! Especially after getting sunburn from standing next to a stately mansion on a sunny, but cold windy day. I now have His sign just below my neckline from where my cross was sitting! Have a wonderful week. Chel

That sounds like such a lovely day! We also live close to/in the mountains. It is hard to explain whether or not we live in the mountains because it isn't as clear cut as the Rockies, but every morning we are blessed to have a mountain view from our deck, and we can hike the actual mountain about an hour from here.

I am glad you had such a wonderful day!

We spent a day similar to yours but WITHOUT the snow :-)
We woke up early and Chad treated me to homemade breakfast burritos. Yum! Then we spent the day at Rifle Gap and enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch, a few long walks, and some fishing. Aliyah was the only one who caught anything but we had a beautiful day in God's creation!!!!! I love my beautiful family!

Oh Wow such beautiful pictures, I do love the mountains, when we lived in Idaho we went camping and when we went further north we ran into snow and so we have pictures of us in shorts and in the snow :)
My sister was here visiting until Sunday and my hubby had to work this holiday

Oh Stephanie, that is so beautiful! What a wonderful time together as a family. Brings back memories of when I was younger and grandpa would take us jeeping, oh I loved that. And finding a creek was the best part of the whole jeep ride! Would love to do that again.
I love the photo of you both, you look so beautiful. Love your hair!!

I spent the day doing not too much, but it was a beautiful day none the less.

Love you dearly!
