God's Word Shall Stand Forever

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
~ Isaiah 40:8 ~

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.
The grass withereth and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth forever.
~ 1 Peter 1:24 - 25a ~

People are temporary and they change.
They are like wild grass and flowers that come up in the springtime
only to fade and fail when the weather gets hot.
By contrast, God never fails for His Word endures forever.
~ The Bible Knowledge Commentary ~

How thankful I am for the surety of our precious Lord and His Holy Word.

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

What a lovely thought, and so true. I am so enjoying the music that you have playing on your blog. It is beautiful and so peaceful. The money bouquets you made are such a cute idea. I have never seen them before. What a nice gift for a shower or wedding. I also took a look at your bread machine cinnamon roll recipe today! I use a recipe very similar. Cinnamon rolls are one of our family favorites. Your blog is always such a restful and encouraging place to come visit. I hope you have a lovely sunday afternoon ahead. Thank you again for all of your sweet comments they just make my day! With Love, Delisa :)

Everything else flees.

Isaiah 40:8...one of my favorites, probably top three. How I love His Word. I recall so many times when I have literally gone to sleep hugging my Bible, not just dozing off but purposely hugging it. Sigh...

Thank you again, Stephanie. Sending you a little email note now.
