Pretty Pink Tea Set

These lovely dishes were found at a consignment store.
Their elegant beauty won me over.

These very pretty tea cups and dessert plates were tucked away on a shelf collecting dust.

My heart went out to the tea set....
how terribly sad that they have been forgotten.

Although maybe not too sad
since the delightful china got to come home with me
where they now sit in my china cabinet ready for tea with friends.

I rushed over to the sales lady and told her I must have these beautiful dishes.

We walked back to the tea set and began to gently wrap and pack them up
for the trip to their new home.

But wait, we soon realize the china should be a set of 12,
but there are only 7 plates and 9 cups.

"No problem," said the sales lady, "You can have the set for $15.00."
Of course I said "Sure" since they were originally priced somewhere around $40.00

So onward to my home they came.
All sweet and delicate for my use.

We taste with our eyes
as well as our mouths.

Dear Stephanie...your little tea set is so, so pretty and so very delicate! Don't you just love finding those little treasures!

Thank you for your kind words at my little space. As I was adding the little "son" quotes to my posting ... I truly was thinking of you and your little guy and of how precious each moment is as we do the very best that we know how to have our little boys grow up to be wonderful men. They do grow up so very quickly! We just want to cherish each and every moment!

Sweetest blessings for your week! Love & Hugs ♥ Teri

What can I say? This is truly gorgeous, strikingly feminine tea set. A full set is not even needed with things so beautiful as these. I've been looking for the perfect set for my middle-school cousin. She has taken on to teas and is wanting a set of her own. I'm sure I'll stumble upon it one day, just like you have this beauty!

I had a hard time finding a teacup even looked in SF, then my mother came to the rescue and found a beautiful teacup and saucer for me to give. I just got it Sunday packed it up today and will ship it out tomorrow. Have a wonderful Monday Hugs

They are lovely...wondering (for the first time) why they are named or called 'china', maybe all the porcelain wares are from China... #justwondering

Hi Stephanie! I love the dishes, but those ROSES! They are just gorgeous and set off the dishes so perfectly. What a good eye you have :)

Nice price for them too, maybe you didn't need a whole set anyway. Sometimes things just catch our eye and light it up!

Good to see you always friend!

I love having tea with friends - always such a relaxing time of fellowship. I have a special tea set that was my great grandma's and the tea pot has a music box attached to the bottom. My daughter and I used to have tea parties when she was little and one year she had a tea party themed birthday and we used the special dishes then too.
