Lace Trimmed Pockets

Here is a super easy and cute way to "pretty up" a pair of pants or skirt.

Trim your pockets, front or back, with some lace
and it feels like you have a whole new pair of pants.

Items needed:
lace trim
needle
thread
scissors

Measure the amount of lace for the pocket
and begin hand-sewing the lace onto the edge.

You can leave it with just the lace trim
or you can add a lace flower for a little extra pop :)

To make the flower cut a piece of lace trim that is about 7 inches long.
Sew a running stitch along the top edge
and then sew the ends together to form a circle/flower.

Sew the flower onto the pocket and you're done.

Have fun and enjoy your day, dearest friends!

By the way, the tea cup exchange was a big and fun success thanks to you ladies :)
Many requests have been made for another one
so be on the lookout for another exchange in the near future.

HUGS!

HI Stephanie! That is an adorable idea! Of course, it helps to have a figure like your little model there! LOL!

I bet a pair of jeans detailed like that would cost all kinds of money. You make it look so easy.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. Loved your comment, as I always do.

Happy Monday, my sweet friend!

Great idea. Many times, I see lovely old crocheted lace on pillowcases etc. at thrift/antique stores...this would be a good way to re-purpose that lace, too.

I love this! It is such a pretty and feminine touch. It makes me want to see if I can dig up some lace and try this on a couple of my skirts or pants.

And it looks so cute on those capris- a lovely outit with a 50s vibe :)

Blessings and hugs to you!!

very pretty idea, I have a spot on one of my shirts toward the bottom that won't come out and I am thinking of putting some trim with flowers on it, this might be just what it needs :)

That is super cute my granddaughter Morgan might like that with a decorative flower trim like we used in the 70's at the bottom of our jeans, she is really into hippie things. well the style, bless her heart that she should be like them in any other way. I like that idea, though I think I am to old to have that look, it is quite feminine and frilly though. Looks great on you. Have a great weekend. Hugs

That looks so cute! I wouldn't have thought of sewing lace onto jeans, but I really like the way it jazzes them up.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and your sweet comment, Stephanie. I really appreciate you sticking around. I'm really excited about my new adventures!

Dearest Stephanie, I love putting lace on just about anything I can. The pocket lace makes those jeans look so sweet. I put lace around a simple floral blouse I made recently, and then three mother of pearl buttons down the front. I am getting more adventurous : )

Oooh, love the addition of the lace. Totally changes the look/feel of the jeans. As a kid, I had a very strong distaste for lace and ruffles, but now as an adult, I'm really loving lace (still not ruffles though - lol).

These are fabulous!! I am a little bit large for jeans these days, else I would certainly give this one a go!!
