Crown Him With Many Crowns

Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne:
Hark! how the heav'nly anthem drowns all music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

Crown Him the Lord of love: behold His hands and side -
Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified;
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight,
But downward bends his wond'ring eye at mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of life: who triumphed o'er the grave,
Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save;
His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring and lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of heav'n: one with the Father known,
One with the Spirit through Him giv'n from yonder glorious throne.
To Thee be endless praise, for Thou for us hast died;
Be Thou, O Lord, through endless days adored and magnified.
~ Matthew Bridges and Godfrey Thring ~

May you have a blessed Lord's Day, friends!

** I took these photos one evening in August - I hope you enjoy their uniqueness.
The cloud was in the perfect shape of a crown and all I could think of was our almighty King. **

When I read your words the music fills my head. Another favorite of mine, but the funny thing is I'm usually playing the songs in church and not singing the words, but they match perfectly in my mind. Have a blessed week.♥♫

Hi Stephanie! Singing along with you! (Not on key, but with a lot of love.) Isn't it fun to see hymns as poetry? It almost makes me think more of them...and these photos are just gorgeous. It does look like a crown!

Happy Sunday!

Oh my GOODNESS! How did I miss THIS in my blog reader:)

That is amazing! It reminds me of Psalm 104 when it says how God is clothed in splendor and majesty.

What an awesome Master Artist and Creator He is. I love that hymn!

It is just amazing how sunsets and sunrises are the times when I feel so much love and awe of God, I don't know if it is because it is usually a time of peace and quiet or what. These are just wonderful pictures!!
