Homemade Crock Pot Fajitas

Who doesn't love a good fajita?
My favorite ingredient for fajita's are the sauteed peppers and onions :)
Mmmm....so good!

I used to buy fajita sauce at the grocery store, but have noticed that it's getting harder to find.
Maybe it's just my grocery store.....
So now I make my own seasoning and find it to be more satisfying and flavorful.

Ingredients for fajita seasoning:

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

In a small bowl mix all ingredients, set aside.

Ingredients for fajita mixture:

12 ounces beef round steak, cut into thin strips
1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
all-purpose flour

Place sliced beef in crock pot.
Sprinkle beef with enough flour to lightly coat the meat.
Add fajita seasoning and stir until well coated.
Pour in beef broth - you may not need the whole can, just enough to make it juicy.

Cook on low for 6 - 8 hours, or until meat is cooked and tender.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Saute' some peppers and onions,
cook up some rice, black beans and corn,
make a yummy guacamole dip,
and bring out the salsa and sour cream.
Oh, and don't forget the tortillas!

Now you can enjoy a tasty fajita :)

Blessings to you, friends!

Love fajitas but have never tried in the crock pot either. I think you have given me some inspiration for dinner. The fajita seasoning mix looks good too, think of the money you save by mixing up your own. Thanks Stephanie

This is one of our favorite meals. I use a variation of your recipe but I can see ways I can use your ideas. We love using our own spices and not a mix, too. Hugs!

Oh Yum, I do love my Fajitas , although I don't like the beans, I buy the McCormick seasoning I think, I like the idea of having the meat cooked in the crock pot, I bet it is nice and tender :)

All of your recipes always look so wonderful!! No doubt your family must have enjoyed these! We will have to try them- I love the ingredients you used, especially black beans and guacamole. Having a spanish side of the family, we eat this food a lot and trying a different fajita recipe would be great!

I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday, dear friend!

Blessings and hugs to you,

Yummy, these sound great! I like your fajita seasoning, I've used a couple different ones, but I like the mixture you are using- I think I'll have to try this one next time. And what a great idea to make the meat in a crock pot! Have you ever tried this with chicken? We almost always make chicken fajitas, I wonder if it would work to substitute the meat? Thanks for posting!
