Lady Of The Land

THE ROSE
The lily has a smooth stalk,
Will never hurt your hand;
But the rose upon her brier
Is lady of the land.

There's sweetness in an apple tree,
And profit in the corn;
But lady of all beauty
Is a rose upon a thorn.

When with moss and honey
She tips her bending brier,
And half unfolds her glowing heart,
She sets the world on fire.
~ Christina Rossetti ~

Have a delightful day and enjoy each moment :)

HI Stephanie that looks like a beautiful tiger rose. Unfortunately I pulled out my tiger roses early this year and put in some other roes bushes with highly scented roses instead. Very pretty rose, love the color. Nice photography as well and pretty poem.
Have a nice day sweets. Hugs

Hi Stephanie, Glad you enjoyed my Rose post... We have about 57 different Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora Roses in our yard. They are my hubby's babies... I am blessed to get to enjoy them. Hubby brings one into the house in a vase for me every day. I'm the luckiest woman in the world...
