Happy Monday, blogging friends!
I hope you enjoy this Labor Day and have many beautiful moments with family and friends :)
My darling husband took off for the woods early this morning
so I am enjoying some quiet solitude right now with a steaming hot cup of coffee
while listening to some uplifting hymns.
I eagerly look forward to when my sweetie comes back home
and we can spend the afternoon together.
Today is a special day for me.
A day that marks a life-changing decision I made 22 years ago.
When I was only 5 years old I came to realize I needed Jesus in my life.
So I made the eternal choice to place my faith in the one true Savior, Jesus Christ.
"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:
for I am God and there is none else."
Isaiah 45:22 (KJV)
As I grew older there were moments when I doubted my salvation
because I was so young when I became a believer of Jesus
and it bothered me that I couldn't remember everything detail for detail.
But God's Word is faithful and true and often the Lord would show me Scripture
that reminded me it's not a decision filled with "technicalities."
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10: 9-10 (KJV)
When I was only 5 years old I knew I was not perfect and my life was already full of sin.
I understood that Jesus loved me and died on the cross so that His blood would cover my sins.
I realized that once I put my faith and trust in the Lord that I would spend eternity in heaven.
I may have struggled with doubts, but once I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior
I was a new creature in Christ.
Once saved, always saved!
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
There is great hope in the Lord!
"That being justified by his grace,
we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
Titus 3:7 (KJV)
Life is short, sweet friends, but eternity is forever.
There is grace, mercy, and love flowing from our Lord and Savior
and one decision from you that will change your eternity - what will you do?
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and not of yourselves: it is a gift of God:
Not of works, lest any many should boast."
Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-9 (KJV)
Have a beautiful day, friends!
I am off to have another cup of coffee :)
