Sweet Hour Of Prayer

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."
~ Ephesians 6:18 ~

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, that calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father's throne make all my wants and wishes known!
In seasons of distress and grief my soul has often found relief,
And oft escapes the tempter's snare by thy return, sweet hour of prayer.

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness engage the waiting soul to bless;
And since He bids me seek His face, believe His Word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my ev'ry care, and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, may I thy consolation share,
Till from Mount Pisgah's lofty height I view my home and take my flight:
This robe of flesh I'll drop, and rise to seize the everlasting prize,
And shout, while passing through the air, "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!"
~ William W. Walford ~

"Between the humble and contrite heart and the majesty of heaven
there are no barriers; the only password is prayer."
~ Hosea Ballou ~

If this wasn't a most peaceful post ever!!!
I cannot help but get teary eyed as I listen to the peaceful music and meditate on the words of this precious hymn. Oh the sweet hour of prayer that we have with our personal Lord and Savior. To know we can talk to Him anytime, and to know He hears and answers our prayers.

Those photos Stephanie... absolutly breath taking. That close up one was amazing!

Thank you for blessing my heart again on our Lords day.
I must come back for another visit after church.

Bless you!

Love this song~
Our service this morning was about the privalages of the Priesthood and how as believers the privilege to come before Gods throne in prayer should humble us and motivate us

Hi Stephanie! Your photos just burst with the joy of God, don't they? That color is so vivid!

So often, I am not timely with going to prayer, and then wonder why I waited? It really is time away with him, to be refreshed and renewed.

Perfect message for a Sunday! Happy Weekend, my friend!
