Autumn Apples

Good morning, sweet friends!
Won't you join me this morning for a stroll outside by the apple tree?

The tree is filled with delicious apples,
the branches are hanging low burdened under the heavy load.

I think it's time to pick the ripe apples - oh what a tasty harvest we'll have!

As my hand closes around the apple my mind wanders to Galatians 5:22, 23a...
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance."

The tree is overflowing with fruit and it makes me wonder,
is my life overflowing with the fruit of the Spirit?

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life..."
~ Proverbs 11:30a ~

My family and I will enjoy the harvest of apples
by having apple pie, homemade apple sauce, apple turnovers, apple fritters.

And I wonder if there will be a bountiful spiritual harvest in my life....
I pray there is!
May our lives be full of the fruit of the Spirit.
We are not the only ones that will benefit from the bounty, but also those around us.

Thank you for joining me on my stroll :)
Have a glorious, blessed day!

Good morning Stephanie,
What a beautiful post! The apple tree brings such lovely memories of my grandparents as there was a small orchard between their home and ours when I was a little girl. All of my best memories of childhood were spent with them. Your words are beautifully written and I too pray that the fruit of the Spirit is evident in my life.
I really enjoyed your post, my friend. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

In the wee hours when I couldn't sleep I was reading Mathew chapter 7 where Jesus was talking about identifying people or trees by their fruit. You have taken some beautiful photos of your apple orchard. Enjoy!

Good morning Stephanie!

Those pictures are so gorgeous; you definitely have an eye for photography! :-)

Isn't it wonderful to have fresh fruit right from one's own backyard? My family is blessed to have pear and apple trees as well. One of my favorite things about Autumn is the harvest of those and all the wonderful, delicious desserts and goodies we make from them. I'm looking forward to the first apple pie of the season. :-)

I hope you have a a delightful day!

What a blessing to have an apple tree. It is just beautiful! I have often wished I could grow one but Florida just isn't ideal for growing them. Citrus trees are about as good as it gets. I just love the look of apple trees though! Thanks for sharing....:)

What a beautiful harvest. I've never been apple picking and I wanted to go this year; however, I didn't see any places to do that in my area. I'll just enjoy looking at your beautiful harvest and the recipes to come. :-)
