Whiter Than Snow

Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
Break down every idol, cast out every foe -
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies
And help me to make a complete sacrifice.
I give up my self and whatever I know -
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat;
I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet.
By faith, for my cleansing I see Thy blood flow -
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Lord Jesus, Thou seest I patiently wait;
Come now and within me a new heart create.
To those who have sought Thee Thou never saidst "No" -
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Chorus
Whiter than snow, yes whiter than snow -
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
~ James Nicholson ~

"Come now, let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
~ Isaiah 1:18 ~

We have already enjoyed two snowfalls during this Autumn season.
The snow always looks so pretty on the colorful leaves
and it reminds my of this hymn that I shared with you today.

Have a blessed Lord's Day, friends!

I had seen on the news about your snowfall, how pretty. Thank you dear friend for making me smile. I am so lucky to have come across your blog, you def. make me smile and in this case, also cry. Reminds me of the great song,"Amazing Grace", which I can not get through without balling. His grace is wonderful, isn't it? Blessings

Good morning Stephanie I love the whiter than the snow hymn. I listened to the whole hymn. Makes me feel like the days in church when they sang these wonderful old hymn's at the evening services.
What gorgeous winter snow photos. It is still warm here in the day, but not far away it has snowed.
Have a blessed SONDAY! Hugs

I love that hymn. Your photo's are so pretty but made me chilly. It will soon be cold so I'm thankful it warms up during the day after 47 degree mornings.
Have a great day,

I will have to look in my hymn books for this song as I'm not familiar with it. The melody is so pretty and I think our choir would like to sing it! Thanks for blessing me with it today.♥♫

No snow here yet, but it's definitely turned to autumn today. There's a real chill in the air. But I know it's warm in BlogLand. So enjoyed the mug exchange and the sweetest notes, including your mother. Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate being part of this thoughtful group. Hugs across the miles.

As I was scrolling I was singing the song, we use to sing this a lot at my church when I was young. The snow does look very pretty on the leaves, I don't know that I have seen that too often. It looks like one of them barely had a chance to start turning.
