Crown Him With Many Crowns

Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne:
Hark! how the heav'nly anthem drowns all music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

Crown Him the Lord of love: behold His hands and side -
Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified;
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight,
But downward bends his wond'ring eye at mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of life: who triumphed o'er the grave,
Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save;
His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring and lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of heav'n: one with the Father known,
One with the Spirit through Him giv'n from yonder glorious throne.
To Thee be endless praise, for Thou for us hast died;
Be Thou, O Lord, through endless days adored and magnified.
~ Matthew Bridges and Godfrey Thring ~

May you have a blessed Lord's Day, friends!

** I took these photos one evening in August - I hope you enjoy their uniqueness.
The cloud was in the perfect shape of a crown and all I could think of was our almighty King. **

A Home For My Heart - Book Review

Sadie Sillsby works as an assistant to the matron
at Raystown Home for Orphan and Friendless Children.
So when the matron decides to leave and get married
the offer for Sadie to become matron is presented.
Sadie loves the children as if they were her own
so she is over the moon with happiness and eagerly accepts the position,
but there is one slight problem - the matron cannot marry.
Sadie has dreamed she would marry the love of her life, Blaine, someday.
Blaine has not yet asked for Sadie's hand in marriage because he dreams of owning his own land
and wants to be able to provide for his future wife.
So when Sadie takes on the role of matron and signs the contract
she thinks she has plenty of time to fulfill her calling before Blaine proposes,
but on the night she shares her exciting news, Blaine has some thrilling news himself.

My Thoughts
A Home for My Heart is a very sweet and wholesome story
about a young lady desiring to do the Lord's will.
I was so pleased with the pureness in the book and because of it, it won me over.
It was a joy to read about Sadie and Blaine as they tried to figure out their futures
and their love for one another.

Sadie was also an orphan
and had difficulty pushing past the "sin" of her mother and felt she had to prove herself
to the community that she is nothing like her real mother.
Sadie finally comes to this realization,
"I couldn't remember her. Perhaps that was the Lord's mercy, I didn't know.
I only wished I hadn't spent years taking her burdens on my shoulders,
where they were never meant to reside.
My security rested in Jesus, not in obliterating my past."

There is love, lessons to learn, and some mystery in this delightful book.
Join Sadie for a heart-warming journey as she tries to figure out God's will and calling for her life.

** I was given a free copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers for an honest review.
All thoughts are my own. No other compensation was received. **

In Loving Memory Of Rosie Girl

Yesterday in one word was - awful!
My son went outside to play and came across our precious kitty, Rosie Girl...
She had been attacked and killed by a coyote or dog.
With tears streaming down my son's face he said to me,
"Mommy, I don't want that to be our Rosie Girl; I want my Rosie back!"
It broke my heart and the tears have been falling from my eyes ever since.

Rosie Girl was my son's "playmate" and they loved to chase each other around the yard.
She was always by me in my craft room cuddled up to my leg while I worked on a project.
She loved to hop on my husband's lap and snuggle with him.
Rosie girl was not just an animal, she was part of our family.
I know those of you who have pets will understand the sweet bond
that is formed between an animal and its owner.

This morning I missed the sound of her eating out of her food bowl
and the gentle rub against my leg as I prepared breakfast.
I missed her going into my son's room to wake him up with a wet-nosed nudge to the face.
I missed her sitting on my Bible while trying to have morning devotions.
I missed her lounging in her brown chair, sleeping with her mouth hanging open.

Rosie Girl also called Roser Dozer was a very special cat
and she will be missed by us.
In the year that we had her she managed to nestle herself into our hearts
and that is where she will stay.

I made a short picture video of Rosie Girl.
She was only 15 months old when she passed away.

Fall Hanging Wreath

It's now officially Autumn - woo hoo :)
I had to make something pretty and festive for my front door
so I made a FALL hanging wreath to greet my guests.
What do you think of it, dear friends?

It was quite easy and fun to make and I'll gladly share how I did it.

Items needed:

4 small wreaths
ribbon
leaves
fabric flowers
letters
hot glue gun and glue
wire cutters

I cut the ribbon to my desired length .
** Don't make the ribbon too long or else the wreath will hang down too far. **

I attached the ribbon to each wreath with hot glue.

I bought a leaf bouquet at Hobby Lobby
and cut off the leaves, pine cones, and berries to add to each wreath.

I then applied the leaves, pine cones, berries, flowers, and letters with hot glue.

Volia!
A delightful Fall wreath to grace your door :)

And in honor of Fall I have a coupon for my store Enchanting Rose Creations.
Enter AUTUMN when you check out and receive 30% off :)
Happy Autumn, lovelies!

Autumn

"Every season hath its pleasures
Filled with varied fruits of time,
Yet the harvest's golden treasures
Reaped in autumn, ever shine.

Though the leaves have done their duty,
And the flowers fade and die,
Still all nature gleams with beauty
As we pass her treasures by.

In the time of peace and plenty,
When all cares have ceased and fled,
Think we then of blessings many,
Which upon us have been shed.

We learn how lightly, quickly pass
This world and all that's in it.
Only one in so great mass,
There is not time to lose one minute.

Life's year thus begins and closes,
Days though shortening, still can shine,
Though at times there are no roses
Love is present all the time."
~ Terry Donnell Sharpe ~

Happy first day of Autumn, beautiful friends!
Have a blessed Lord's Day :)

Sweet & Tasty Peach Crisp

Well, it's still raining here...I think it's been raining for about 10 days straight,
maybe even more, but I have lost track of the days.
Wednesday morning at about 3:00 am there was a big thunder and lightening storm.
The thunder was rattling our home and it reminded me of God's great power.

Anyway,
I want to thank you, sweet friends, for your concern since many of you know I live in Colorado
and have written me to see if my family and I are safe from the flooding.
Thankfully, we don't live near the floods so we are okay,
but I do know some people that have suffered from the flooding.
 My heart is sad and heavy for them and the many others that have lost so much.
My prayers are certainly with them during this difficult time.
Again, thank you for showing such care and kindness!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now how about making something sweet for the weekend.
Peach season is always a favorite in our household.
Fresh, sweet, juicy peaches - mmmm... nothing quite like them! :)
And of course with peach season comes delectable desserts:
peach cobbler, peach pie, peach muffins, peach turnovers, peach crisp.
So grab some peaches and we'll make a delightful peach crisp.
Ingredients needed:
5 cups sliced, peeled peaches
2 - 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1/2 cups regular rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped nuts or coconut (optional)
Place peaches in a 2-quart square baking dish.
Stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla or almond.
For the topping,
in a medium bowl combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs.
Stir in the nuts.
Sprinkle topping over fruit.
Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 30 - 35 minutes
or until fruit is tender and topping is golden.
Serve with ice cream or just rich, thick cream :)
Enjoy!
Hugs and blessings to you!
Enjoy the upcoming weekend :)
Tea Cup & Mug Exchange
Hi, dear friends!
I pray your Monday is going well and you're having a beautiful day :)
There is a small sliver of sunlight trying to peak through the clouds here
and after a week of rain and gloom I am quite ready to see and feel the sunshine.
Well, it's time for another tea cup exchange!
The last one was a big hit with many people requesting that I do another one soon.
So I figured this would be the perfect time since the weather is cooling down
and a cup of tea would help take the chill out of Autumn :)
I am also going to do a mug exchange
because I had several ladies mention they would rather use a mug over a tea cup.
So....email me at:
kekepania525@gmail.com
to let me know that you would like to participate in the exchange.
Also, please verify in the email if you want to exchange a tea cup or a mug.
AND you can do both if you would like :)
This is how it will work:
you have until September 30th to join the exchange.
I will then email you the address of the person you will be sending a tea cup or mug to.
You can add anything tea or mug related to your package
and it is completely your choice if you want to add anything extra.
I will also have a linky set up on my blog once we receive our new goodies
so that we can share them with each other.
If there are those that join the exchange and don't have blogs
than you can send me a photo of your new tea cup/mug
and I will post it on my blog for all to see.
Make sense?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If for any reason you sign up and then are not able to participate
PLEASE let me know!
Feel free to email me (kekepania525@gmail.com) with any questions :)

In a nutshell.....
please sign up by September 30th.
Email me to let me know if you would like to exchange a tea cup, mug or both.
And please email me your mailing address.
Have your package sent out no later than October 7th.
I will then have a linky set up around the 14th of October for all of us to share our new treasures.

Okay, I think that about sums it up.
Also, this is open only to U.S.A and Canadian residents.
I would love to have everyone join from all around the world,
but unfortunately I can't do that at this time.

You can help spread the word by taking the photo below and putting it on your sidebar.
Just left click and save image as.
Then add this link so people can come check it out :)

Apples Of Gold

Have you ever pondered the words that come out of your mouth?
Are they uplifting or do they bring down?
Are they full of love or do they speak of hatred?
Are they singing God's praises or do they sing praises about yourself?

"A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!"
~ Proverbs 15:23 ~

"A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth:
but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction."
~ Proverbs 13:2-3 ~

"He that speaketh truth showeth forth rigtheousness."
~ Proverbs 12:17a ~

May our words be as the Bible says,
"Apples of gold in pictures of silver."
May they be beautiful, loving, God-honoring, and full of truth. :)

Have a blessed Lord' Day, friends!

Lady Of The Land

THE ROSE
The lily has a smooth stalk,
Will never hurt your hand;
But the rose upon her brier
Is lady of the land.

There's sweetness in an apple tree,
And profit in the corn;
But lady of all beauty
Is a rose upon a thorn.

When with moss and honey
She tips her bending brier,
And half unfolds her glowing heart,
She sets the world on fire.
~ Christina Rossetti ~

Have a delightful day and enjoy each moment :)

Acorn Candle Wrap

My mind hasn't wrapped around the fact that Summer is over
and Autumn will officially start in a couple of weeks.
Yesterday was cold, gloomy, and smelled of Fall...
have you noticed how the air takes on a crisp, fresh smell as Autumn begins to arrive?
This week is supposed to be cool and rainy - yes, Autumn is just around the corner.

I realized I have not done a Fall craft for my blog so yesterday I decided to remedy that.
It was the perfect day for enjoying time indoors
while creating something lovely for this time of year.
I started off with a quick trip to town
and got myself a yummy pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks
and some praline pecans for a tasty treat :)

So grab a little snack and maybe a hot cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and we'll begin :)

Items needed for making an acorn candle wrap:

candle
burlap
acorns
hot glue gun and glue
pumpkin button (optional)

Cut the burlap to fit around your candle and hot glue the edges to it.
Then arrange the acorns into a flower onto the center of your candle.
Real acorns would be adorable, but unfortunately I don't have any big acorns here
so I bought some at Hobby Lobby.

Keep it simple and don't add a pumpkin button to the center.

Or add a pumpkin button for a nice pop of color :)

Place your candle out in your home for the beautiful Autumn season and enjoy!

Blessings to you, friends!
