Love Coupons

I think I mentioned this last year,
but I have such a hard time figuring out what to give my darling husband for Valentine's Day.
Do any of you struggle with gift ideas during Valentine's for your significant other?

This Valentine's Day I thought I would give my husband a jar filled with "Love Coupons."
He can reach in the jar, pull out a coupon, and be surprised by what it says.
Each coupon has a gift of its own :)

If you want to make one than this is what you will need:

jar (I used a spaghetti sauce jar)
hole punch

Cut out however many coupons you want to give to your loved one.
Punch a hole at the top and tie a piece of yarn through it.

Now have fun thinking of coupon ideas...

Decorate your jar any way you like...

An easy gift, but very heart-felt :)

Many hugs to you, friends!

  1. What a cute idea for valentine's day. You are one clever girl. Have a great day.

  2. Great idea. I think things like this are so much better even than store bought ones. Thanks for idea.

  3. Hi Stephanie...
Thank you for this. : )
So thoughtful, and so do-able for me. ; )
You always have the best ideas, my friend.
Have a cozy day. We are bracing for more snow tomorrow. And thanks for your continued prayers for my father. He is stable today, and in no pain. : )

  4. That's so sweet and you always think of every detail. My hubby gave me a coupon book for our anniversary last year. I need to look through it and see what's left...I don't want to miss anything! Sweet hugs!

  5. That's such a sweet idea, Stephanie! I've had trouble in the past too and I know I'll struggle this year with ideas. Oh gosh, it's only 10 days away! Hope you're having a great week.xo

  6. This is such a sweet idea. I'm sure any of our sweethearts would love this gift. Should we limit how many coupons can be redeemed in one day?

  7. Hi Steph - this is really cute!! It reminds me of the coupon books that I used to make for my kids when they were little to put in their Christmas stocking.

Last night, I had my girls look at your beautiful snow pictures! (Maybe I should clean up the drool on my computer screen today! Tee-hee!;)) So beautiful!!

Hope you and your sweet family are having a wonderful day!

  8. stealing this one!!!! thanks for sharing :) blessings~~angela

  9. Isn't that sweet? My husband and I exchange cards and have a nice meal. Guess we're boring, but we've never gotten into gift giving on V-Day.

  10. Hi Stephanie, what a cute and sweet idea for your sweetie! I know your husband is going to love it. Have a nice night and enjoy the rest of the week.

  11. That is such an easy yet personal way to show you're love. I will remember that one.
I pray you are having a terrific day!
    Blessings my dear

  12. Thank you, Stephanie, for this beautiful, heartfelt gift idea. Homemade gifts always seem extra special! Hugs to you!

  13. You have such a sweet, loving heart, my friend. What a blessing you are to your family and your husband to think of genuine, original gifts like this. How sweet this idea is. And I love the thoughtful things you wrote to put in the jar.

    Have a blessed day, Stephanie!

    Hugs to you,

  14. A sweet idea and so thoughtful too. I would be very happy to get the coupon for a back rub from my husband, even though he does it often : )

  15. Dear Stephanie ... such a sweet idea. Thank you for sharing! Hugs ♥ Teri

  16. Your gift turned out beautifully! This year I've planned something unusual. I bought tickets for Husband and Son to go to a blues guitarists concert together. I always make a card for the dogs to give Husband too. Those always get a laugh! I think Valentine's are for everyone we love. Hugs!

  17. What a sweet and simple gift! Straight from the heart for sure!

  18. Such a fun gift, Stephanie,
Your Hubby will love all that attention! Thanks so much for coming by my blog! It is so fun to see what everyone is doing for Valentines Day!

  19. Yes I have a hard time thinking of new things for my hubby too, this is great he will love this idea but I might have to admit the one with anything you want ;)

  20. Such a sweet idea :) My husband would definitely appreciate the 30 min back rub, too. He would love a jar full of just that, haha.

  21. This is a sweet idea. My hubby is hard to buy for. We generally don't make a big deal about V-Day other then a nice dinner, a card and maybe a small gift. We try to make it a (family) thing rather then a (couple) thing.

  22. Dear Stephanie,
What a lucky husband you have to have such a thoughtful wife! I love this idea and I know my Mr. will, too. As long as there are many coupons for home baked treats! <3 Hugs to you xo Karen

  23. What a sweet idea. I will have to try that.

  24. Like that idea! It is a gift that will keep on giving after Valentine's Day!

  25. How sweet and what a wonderful idea for a Valentine gift! I'm sure he'll appreciate this very thought gift! Blessings to you! Have a great weekend, hugs!

  26. I think this is the perfect Valentine, homemade and heartfelt, just like they should be. Very nice, Stephanie!

  27. What a novel idea! Hubby will love this - so much better than a shop bought gift ..and handmade with love.

  28. Stephanie, that present is way better than chocolates! (Now if I only can get my husband to make these coupons!)

  29. This a sweet project Stephanie. I too wonder many times, what to present my hubby :). This is a cool idea :)
