Simple And Sweet Autumn Leaves

Happy day, friends!
How are you on this fine Tuesday?
I hope each and everyone of you are well.
I thought I would show you these pretty Autumn leaves that my son and I made.

My son and I went scouting for a good stick and lucky for us we found one!
The branch we chose was dead and needed some life
so we cut out leaves from felt and applied old lace and buttons to them.

I'm not sure if my son was all for the lace (from an old doily),
but since it's team work I told him Mommy wanted it to look "shabby"
and he agreed saying, "Okay, whatever that means!"
What a trooper :)

The leaves were attached to thin yarn with hot glue
and tied to the branch.

Little one and I thought it needed something else on the branch
so we rummaged through my craft supplies and found a sweet bird
and a felt flower I made last year. . .or the year before that.

So now pretty Birdie Belle is sitting atop her branch enjoying this beautiful Autumn season.

Our lovely felt leaves are hanging prettily in the laundry room
and add a nice touch of Fall to our home.

Have a splendid day, dear ones!

Isn't it fun to craft with your family members! Love the fall leaves, and beautifully "shabby" they are. I had to chuckle about your son saying, "whatever that means." Our language confuses a lot of us. I have a habit of saying I'd like run across this or that, when I'm only looking for something. I'm sure that sounds crazy, too.
Have a great day!

We have few beautiful leaves here in Florida. I love to visit the mountains at this time of year. This is such a unique and sweet decoration for the laundry room. TFS Hugs.

Stephanie that is just precious! I love that idea so much. I must try one similar for my front door as a cute welcome wreath for the front door. It's perfect because we bought a new door that has a oval window with frames inside, and it won't cover the window entirely.
Hope you are doing wonderful and enjoying the fall! and Life is good for you. xo xo

What a cute project, Stephanie, and so special that you shared it with your son. I know he will always remember his time spent with his mom. Tell him I think the bird really makes it. I absolutely adore that quote, and the picture is so pretty with all the colors of Autumn.

I hope you are enjoying this glorious season.

Good Afternoon, Stephanie!

This is a very adorable Fall craft!

And, it must be a boy thing to not know what Shabby means. My littlest guy, looks up at me and says, shabby, is that a secret word for Army? Seriously, not everything is related to Army around here. Like I don't know what I'm talking about. Haha! They are too cute!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Amy
