Fairest Lord Jesus

Fairest Lord Jesus; Ruler of all nature,
O Thou art God and man, the Son.
Thee, will I cherish, Thee, will I honor,
Thou, my soul's only joy, and Crown.

Fair are the meadows; fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring.
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine; fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling starry host.
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels Heaven can boast.

Beautiful Savior! Lord of the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration
Now and forevermore be Thine!
- Anonymous German Hymn -

For by him all things were created:
things in heaven and on earth,
visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
all things were created by him and for him.
- Colossians 1:16 -

Have a blessed Lord's Day, dear ones!

Beautiful post again. Very worshipful song to honor our Saviour. Your photos are beautiful. Are they a flower or what is left after the flower has gone? Hugs.

Beautiful post! I heard that song earlier today. One of my residents was singing it. He's 94 years old, has dementia and is very hard of hearing. But he still sings some of his favorite hymns and I know God is smiling when He hears it.

HI Stephanie! Happy and joyous Monday to you! I hope you had a restful and thankful Sunday. I do love that hymn, and of course started to sing it in my head as I read the words on your post.

Good Monday, dear Stephanie,
This is one of my favorite hymns.

I just read that your mom's responsibilities are preventing her from blogging. Stopped and prayed that her needs will be met and the needs of those she serves. Also prayed for you. You love your mom so much and it is difficult sometimes to watch them carry their burdens up the hill called Difficulty.

Blessings and love to you all, m & jb
