Lace Rosette Snowman And Snowlady

Happy day to you, friends!
I trust you are doing well. . .
It's a beautiful winter wonderland outside
{at least up high on the mountain tops}
and these pretty white snowmen are perfect for inside :)
Let me show you how I made them. . .

Items needed:

lace
felt
hot glue gun and glue
scissors
embellishments

You will need three strips of lace for one snowman.
The length of each strip:
20-inches
16-inches
10-inches

 Knot the end of each lace strip.

Twist the lace and roll into a rosette.
{ Hold the center to keep the rosette together }

Tuck in the end and apply hot glue to the back of the rosette.
* * Don't burn your fingers! * *

Flip over and press onto a felt circle.

Cut a thin strip of felt slightly shorter than the length of the snowman.

Apply hot glue to the strip and press the rosettes onto the felt
starting with the bottom rosette.

Before you place the smallest rosette onto the felt
add a small strip of lace for the hanger.

Then, glue the rosette on over the lace.

Tie some lace around the "neck" of the snowman and embellish :)
I used a small piece of felt for the nose and brown brads for the eyes.

This sweet "snowlady" turned out to look more like a lovely angel.
I guess she can be my snow angel.

She has lace around her neck along with some feminine pink pearls.
And of course a heart of gold.

Hang your snowman or snow angel on the Christmas tree. . .

Or use them as pretty toppers on Christmas gifts.

Happy creating, sweet friends!
Enjoy your day and upcoming weekend!

Those are so cute. Why didn't I ever think to glue the back of the rosettes? I always try to sew them and it's so hard to. I love your way much better.

These snowy sweethearts are darling, Stephanie! How clever and creative you are to have used all these materials in such wonderful combinations. They certainly make for lovely, lacy additions to those otherwise prickly but pretty Christmas trees!

Thanks for sharing!

Hope you are keeping warm in that winter wonderland of yours!

I love these snowmen! My mom used to make lots of ornaments from lace and ribbon. She would have loved making these. I have a box of her supplies (they are old!) but I think I can still salvage some stuff and give these a whirl :)
