Wrap It Up...With Book Pages

Hello, beautiful friends!
Christmas - oh, how I love this delightful holiday!
One thing I enjoy about this time is the wrapping of gifts for loved ones.

There's nothing quite like listening to good ol' Christmas carols,
drinking a cup of coffee with cream and sugar,
and sitting by the crackling fire while wrapping goodies.

This year for the smaller gifts I used book pages to wrap them up.
If you don't have any extra books lying around than visit your local thrifty store.
You should be able to find one for .50 cents.

I used stamps to add extra Christmas cheer to the gift.
Two pages were torn out of the book, trimmed to size,
and sewn together with the sewing machine.
I left a small gap so that I could slip the gift in
and then finished sewing it up.

Two holes were punched out at the top and I used red lace for a pretty addition.
Then I tied on a handmade Christmas tag for the finishing touch.

Use your lovely creativity, sweet friends,
and bless someones day with a beautifully wrapped gift :)
Hugs to you!

What a neat idea, I love the look of the wrapping! I think that it would be a tad difficult for me to rip out the pages of a book because, even getting one from a thrift store, I would want to pick a book that I liked and was decent (wouldn't want to make any mistakes in THAT department). :)
I can see it now, "I'm sorry Jane Austen, your pages are needed for another purpose." :D

Love this idea, and also pages of old sheet music, or sunday comics. Wrapping can be a lot of fun. This year I was not creative, but let he 99 cent store supply me with colorful boxes. Need to get it done and in the mail to OR.

You are lovely, and so are your creative ideas.

Very pretty! I feel guilty now....I just wrap my gifts with whatever bargain wrap I can find...no bow no tag. They're going to get ripped, right? :-)

What a neat idea! Enjoy every blog but sorry that sometimes it is hard to comment because I cannot read the code to prove I am not a robot and sometimes cannot hear the numbers for the lovely background music.

You are so talented and giving. Thank you for sharing this wonderful gift idea and how you did this with the steps and ideas. I have old readers digests with no covers found thrifting. They would make the perfect pages to use for this. And I LOVE the example;)

What a darling use of old book pages :)
I've seen some good sized books at the dollar tree.. I think that they would work great for a project like this.
Thanks for the tip!
