Grow Your Blog And A Giveaway

Hello, sweet friends!
I am joining Vicki at 2 Bags Full for the Grow Your Blog Party.
I am thrilled to be a part of the event this year
and am quite excited to meet new friends from around the world.
Thank you, Vicki, for hosting and putting everything together - your hard work is appreciated.
{ Giveaway at the end of the post }

For those of you who are new to my blog and don't know me
than please let me share a teensy bit about myself and my blog.

I'm Stephanie. . .

I have had the privilege of sharing my joys and delights
for almost three years here at The Enchanting Rose.
I began my blogging journey in July of 2012
in honor of my precious Grandma Betty.
This dear, sweet woman inspired me with her
sewing, crafting, and baking skills.
She was always creating lovely items for the next craft fair
and her hands were always busy making delicious desserts.
She was an extraordinary woman - a woman I will always love and admire.

{ Grandma Betty }

* * * * *

If you were to visit my home, my Enchanting Rose home that is, on a daily basis
than you would find me nestled away in my craft room creating to my hearts content. . .

I like to keep myself occupied whether it's with a fun sewing project
such as this Upcycled Shabby Apron,

an organizing project like this DIY Wall Hanging Organizer,

or a festive vintage holiday wreath made out of wrapping paper.

You'll also find me baking sweet treats in my vintage-inspired kitchen
and sharing them with friends
such as this banana cake which is a recipe from my dear Grandma Betty.

You will more than likely find me curled up in a quilt with a good book
while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
I am a book lover and enjoy writing reviews on the weekend.

You may even come across me walking in the garden while the dew is still on the roses.

And you will definitely find me sharing my love for music and old hymns.

I adore - okay, let's be honest. . .
I am obsessed with tea cups and twice a year I host a Tea Cup and Mug Exchange
for ladies all around the world.
It has been a very beautiful and rewarding experience.

I also host a linkup party called Roses of Inspiration, which is held every Tuesday.
The party is called Roses of Inspiration because the things you share on your blog
are inspiring to others and this is the perfect place to share them.

But aside from the things I love to share in my corner of the blogging community,
I soon realized there was more to blogging than just sharing my ideas. . .
there was the beautiful side that has come to mean the most to me,
the side of sweet friendships being formed and nurtured.
I am truly amazed at the kind, generous, and thoughtful women
that I have had the honor of meeting through blogging. . .
this has been the greatest part during this journey.
The women I have met and call "Friends" are a precious bunch
and they are ladies that I admire and appreciate.

If you are new to The Enchanting Rose
than let me just say welcome and thank you for visiting!
I would consider it a blessing for you to visit again-
one visit can turn into a lifetime of friendship.

* * * * *

I am also having a giveaway and will announce the winner on February 15th.
This giveaway is open to everyone.
No blog? No problem.
Live overseas? No big deal.
Like I said, everyone is included :)
Simply leave me a comment below telling me what your favorite thing about blogging is
or why you enjoy visiting blogs and your lovely name will be entered.

The winner will receive. . .

This sweet tea cup pin cushion that is adorned with lace and pearls
and made with vintage fabric.

Five handmade gift tags.

And a sweet tote bag with plenty of lace and extra prettiness.

Hugs and blessings!

Hi Stephanie! I'm already a follower and also a GYB participant this year, so I will just add my comment that I enjoy the universal sharing that blogging offers. It used to be that you'd have to purchase a book or magazine for directions to an appealing item for your home. Blogging allows you to shop for an idea at home - and get quality step-by-step directions in one place too!
Enjoy the weekend! And please enter me in the give away for the pretty items! Thank you!

Stephanie - I am new to your blog and this was a perfect post to get to know you. I love the world of blogging and am constantly in awe of the sweet things bloggers do and say. Bloggers I have not and probably never will meet have become dear friends. My husband was very ill for 18 months and just passed away in November and I was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, prayers and concern from bloggers. What a blessing! Looking forward to getting to know you.

I loved getting to see your sweet smile and your craft room, along with some of your recent projects. Thank you for continuing to share your gifts! I'm finding it hard to create like I used to now that I'm homeschooling the 3 little ones, but am hoping to get back to some of my projects. Take care!

Hello Stephanie, your site is lovely. I only started blogging in Oct last year so it's very new to me, I'm still learning and it can be challenging trying to understand the jargon and what everything does. What I love about blogging is it's like a fantastic journey of exploration all over the world, I spend a lot of time reading lots of blogs hoping to collect tips and ideas so that I can create a blog to be proud of.

Dear Stephanie
I am a homemaker from Singapore and I enjoy receiving your posts on crafting and whatnots, even though i don't make things. I like how your posts beam with the cheerful sweetness of God and there's also a gentle vulnerability in your words that i find very precious. I decided to blog a few months back. It's a creative outlet. Reading blogs by mature Christian ladies is one of my favourite things to do. I enjoy delving into Lady Lydia Sherman's Home Living Blog and Shirley's Teach The Younger Women Blog. As you can probably guess, I am a little bit serious and I love seeking out wise opinions from other Christian women. Your blog is definitely one of them. I am so glad to have "found" you online. Stay beautiful and inspired.

Cheers,
Larissa

Hello Stephanie, I haven't been visiting you very long so it was lovely to learn more about you. After seeing the wall hanging organizer I am going to have to make one. Your craft room looks so pretty, what a lovely place to spend time. I knew your giveaway would have to include a tea cup somewhere. The roses in the teacup look gorgeous. Have a lovely weekend.

Your blog is simply lovely! Although I'm relatively new to blogging, my favorite thing about it is the opportunity to help my brothers and sisters in Christ grow by encouraging and challenging them. I enjoy looking at other people's blogs because it's nice to see their personality shine through their posts. Thank you for you beautiful blog...and for hosting this contest! <3 In Christ, Emily {beautyofholinessblog.weebly.com}

It is nice to meet you through the GYB hop. My favorite thing about blogging is that I am able to connect with tons of other creative people who love to make cards like I do. I had no idea there were so many blog challenges and people who share their work. Your blog is very pretty and the apron is fantastic.

What lovely items! My favorite thing about visiting blogs is finding out I am not alone. This world can be so ugly and filled with bad news. To know there are other ladies out there living for the Lord and their families is so encouraging. Thank you! Dee
