Paper Hearts Bouquet

Happy day, dear friends!
I have noticed several blogs I follow have started sharing
their Valentine's Day decor and crafts
{I am always inspired by Deb's mantel - she decorates it for every holiday}
which cased me to realize that Valentine's Day is only a month away!
How did that happen???
It seems like {for me anyway} that I get my Christmas decorations taken down and put away
only to be hit in the face with hearts, hearts, and more hearts . . .
To be quite honest, I don't do a whole lot for this "love" holiday.
I like to add a few hearts here and there, fill the refrigerator with chocolates,
I mean add a bowl of candy to the table for the family to enjoy,
and send out cards, but that's about it.
So. . .to begin the holiday I punched out some miniature paper hearts
and created a sweet little bouquet that looks pretty by my tea cups.

All you need is a paper punch,
wire stems  - {I used the fabric wrapped ones}
card stock,
hot glue gun and glue  - {you could also use glue dots}
 vase or jar,
Spanish moss,
lace and embellishment - {optional}.

Trim the wire stems to the desired length and
fill your vase/jar with Spanish moss.
Punch out two hearts for each stem.
Then, simply apply hot glue or a glue dot to one side of the heart,
lay the tip of the stem onto the heart, and press the second heart over the glue and stem.

Arrange your heart flowers into a pretty bouquet.

Tie a strip of lace around the vase/jar
and apply your desired embellishment.

Happy creating, sweet friends!
Enjoy your day.
Love and hugs to you!

Don't miss out on linking up at Tuesday's party.

Dear Stephanie, you are such a lovely Girlie girl! All your crafts have that old fashioned, feminine touch.

That should be purry -not pure. Auto-correct does some funny stuff. And, sometimes, I have to ARGUE with it!
IT: you mean THIS
ME: no I don't
IT: yes you do...
ME: NO. i DON'T!

That looks so pretty Stephanie.
We do not do a lot for Valentine's Day in England, a loved one gets a card & flowers but not much decorations.
We started a couple of years ago doing a small Valentines Day tea to include the children, the twins like to make a few table decorations for it.

I don't decorate a lot for V. Day either, but I like your pretty little heart bouquet!

What a sweet little bouquet. That would be cute on a co-worker's desk, too....and you could stick a couple of those chocolate hearts in the "moss". Great idea. xo Diana

Oh if that isn't just darling! I especially like the cameo you added, has a romantic look about it.
I had to chuckle at your comment on the chocolate. :-)

What a lovely idea...and very inexpensive way to do a bit of crafting for Valentine's Day. I think I just may give that a try!

Stephanie Happy New Year! I agree about being hit in the face with hearts and more hearts. A day after Christmas Target was putting out the Valentine things and even the grocery store. I love your idea and that would be a great little decoration for the kitchen table. I am the same put out a dish or candy and that's usually about it. I did do a few cards the year before and then last year zero cards because of the move we were to busy for that. I am so happy you shared this today. My mom will love the little decor on the table, she loves my crafts. I will tell her I saw this idea online at your blog. Have a happy day! Love your new profile photo. Hugs

Happy New Year! I like your heart bouquet and I'm sure your family will appreciate the chocolates. In Canada most of us do not decorate for certain holidays like Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day or Easter though we do celebrate them. The last two holidays are still mostly for children to send their cards (Valentine's Day) and/or get their candies (Valentine's Day and Easter). Enjoy the rest of your week. xx

Hi Stephanie. Your little heart bouquet is adorable. Just the right touch to start thinking about Valentine's Day. I usually do the snowmen through the end of January and then I will start Valentine Day. Won't be much this year, probably just the usual parlor mantle. I have started making a few embellishments I will show then. I missed your last post so didn't realize you had a party going on. I will be joining in the near future..Happy Wednesday..Judy

I don't usually put anything out for Valentine's Day until February, and not too much either, Stephanie. Your sweet little heart bouquet is the perfect touch to put beside your teacups. You always share the sweetest decor.

What a sweet bouquet of hearts!! I love it! Roxy and I just went to Hobby Lobby today to get something crafty to do for the LOVE month. After all, it's my Valentine's Day Birthday! We all need to get creative to celebrate that! Ha!

I hope you are enjoying your week. We are suppose to get a "warm up" the next few days. I am looking forward to the 50's. Maybe all the mud will have a chance to dry up some. (Not that I don't enjoy sweeping and mopping every few hours-Ha Ha)

Take Care Stephanie!

Hugs,
Amy

Hi Stephanie! I love this little craft, i think even I could do it! I usually decorate for each holiday, but Valentines Day will have to pass me by without any this year. That's okay, I'll decorate with a vengeance next year! (At least there's still chocolate!)
Blessings,
Ceil

Stephanie,
The paper hearts bouquet is so charming. And the cameo on the jar really adds a special touch. I love cameos so much. Do you know that Valentine's Day is my second favorite holiday? Hearts, red and pink roses, love, chocolate....all of my favorites. I just saw some mason jars in assorted colors that I think you'd like to decorate with at Joanne's (not sure if you have one near your area), but they were so pretty. You always have clever and creative ideas, dear Stephanie.

love, ~Sheri
