"Sew" In Love Stamped Hearts

Good morning, friends!
Ah, the weekend is here. . . any special plans?
Before I show you my sweet little hearts
that are going to a special young girl
I wanted to remind you of all what is going on at the blog right now. . .

There is one week left to enter the Grow Your Blog Giveaway
and you can find the post by clicking on the link.

And finally, don't forget about the Tea Cup and Mug Exchange.
There is one week left to sign up
and so far we have a delightful group of ladies participating - won't you join us?
You can find all the details here.

Okey dokey. . . I think that is about it :)

I just came across a lovely blog called
My Five Men
and Betsy is hosting a Random Acts of Kindness Adventure.
I found it through the lovely Wanda
and thought this post fit perfectly under the "random acts of kindness." :)

There is a special little girl in my life {my sweet cousin}
who has been facing a lot of difficulties right now at a very young age. . .
she is not yet a teenager and has been diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia.
I decided to put a little package together to hopefully bring a smile to her face :)
My young cousin is one of the sweetest girls you could possibly know
and she is also very girly so I made several stuffed hearts
with pretty and feminine fabric.

I went through my stamps and found ones that had to do with love
and how special she is.

I simply stamped the sayings onto a scrap piece of cotton fabric with stamping ink,
frayed the edges, and sewed onto the heart.

Speaking of sewing,
I hand stitched the hearts and also frayed their edges.
{each heart is a different size - small, medium, and large}

This is my commandment,
that ye love one another,
as I have loved you.
- John 15:12 -

 I love you. . .
for all that you are,
all that you have been,
and all that you are yet to be.
- Unknown -

I love you
because you are simply YOU!

These hearts are simple to make, dear friends,
and will certainly bring a smile to someones face.
Make a few, place them in a small basket and brighten someones day.

Let a friend or family member know they are loved. . .

Maybe someone you know is struggling with something-
let that person know you care. . .
you are there for them and so is the Lord.

A small gesture can have a deep impact on someones life.
Let's spread the love, sweet friends :)

May your weekend be bright and beautiful!
Sharing with the lovely Jann at

and with Betsy at

Very beautiful, Stephanie. I hope she feels better soon. Those pre teen years can be difficult. My daughter has been making tiny little hand sewn hearts and leaving them around the house. Some of them she is using as pin cushions, because she mends her ribbons on her ballet shoes. I will have to show her your hearts with the messages.

Sweet Stephanie, these hearts are so precious and actually seem doable for someone like me who does not sew. What sort of stuffing did you use? I especially love the one with the heart stamp. These would certainly be adorable in your teacup exchange, or as a giveaway. Perhaps tied with fishing line to a branch and hung from a window...oh the possibilities! I'm sure the young lady will love them!
Hugs and a cup of tea,
~Heather Elizabeth
