UPDATE On Grandpa Don

Good day, sweet friends!
You have once again left me speechless with your love and kindness.
The blogging community is truly a beautiful place. . .
it's a place where people from all over the world can come together
and support one another in all things.
Many times a prayer request will be sent out across the Internet
and within seconds blogging friends are responding.

You, all of you, have created a world that cares
and shows genuine concern for a friend that is hurting.
Many of us have never met face-to-face
yet many of you have become very close and special friends.
Thank you for being there for my family and me.
Your words of encouragement have touched each one of us
and your prayers have greatly touched our hearts.
Your comments and private emails have been like a balm to our anxious hearts

Grandpa went back into surgery late last night
and the doctor opened him back up.
There was not a main source for the internal bleeding,
but rather he was bleeding all over inside - in a sense the blood was oozing out.
The doctor said they "washed" him out
which was needed and should help.

As of this morning we were told that Grandpa did well through the night
and he is responding by nodding and squeezing of the hands.
He was losing 300% of blood every 15 minutes last night,
but this morning he is only losing 24% so that is a huge improvement!
This is all the information I have right now.
God is the great Physician, my friends, and my Grandpa is resting in His hands
which is the perfect and best place to be :)
I am thankful to know God has a plan and whatever that plan may be
I am going to trust in Him. . .

I and my family are so grateful for your concern and love.
I can't tell you how much it means to have your support during this time of uncertainty.
Each and every one of you are a blessing!

Prayer is so wonderful, it helps the one who is being prayed for and it helps those praying feel needed and doing for someone else, and in so many cases people we don't know. That in itself says that yes, we trust our Lord and Savior. Seeing is believing? No, believing is seeing. Continued prayers for Grandad Don and your family.

God Bless you all.

Wow. Three hundred per cent every fifteen minutes...scary stuff. That it has slowed is very good news indeed. Sounds as if The Great Physician is on the case. Praying for a full recovery and restoration to good health. Hang in there, keep praying, and leave it all with The Lord. Love to you all...

So glad that he is doing better. My father had 7 bi passes done many years ago. It was Christmas Eve Day. We just got home from being with his all day and the hospital called. He was hemorrhaging as well. Whatever they did worked. He looked like a Pillsbury Dough Boy for a couple of days in the ICU and then he was okay enough to go home. Prayers do work.

So glad to read this report! The internet is a wonderful tool to call people to prayer. It's such a comfort to know that God has a plan for each life and He won't take that person home until that plan is complete. Praying for your Grandpa tonight.

Our Lord is in complete control. Knowing this truth is what gives us the incentive to keep praying because we know He hears us.

Stephanie, thank you for the update, and know that Walt and I are continuing to pray for Grandpa Don and our entire family...especially your precious mom as she is waiting. The verse you shared was one that God gave me during my last trip to the hospital, and it was such a comfort. Strangely today I was reminded of the words of an old song...But I know who holds tomorrow, And I know who holds my hand. Yes, I know who holds my hand. Praise God we can trust Him for each moment and the future! Tender hugs and love, dearest Stephanie!
