Praise and Thanks To God

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him,
and bless his name.
- Psalm 100:4 -

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing,
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to His name, He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning,
Thou Lord, wast at our side: the glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender wilt be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised: O Lord, make us free!
- Dutch Hymn, Theodore Baker -

Come, ye thankful people come -
Raise the song of harvest home. . .
God, our Maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied.

All the world is God's own field,
Fruit unto His praise to yield.
- Henry Alford -

All praise and thanks to God the Father
now be given.
- Martin Rinkart -

Blessings and love to you on this beautiful Lord's Day.

Hello my sweet friend! I can't believe it's coming...it's been so warm (except this past week) that Thanksgiving just doesn't seem REAL. But, being grateful is a daily, ongoing matter, so let's GIVE THANKS always! Have fun!

Oh, Stephanie, this is one of my favorite old hymns, and it's a joy to "sing" along as I read the words. And the photography is absolutely glorious! I love the snow-covered trees and the bright red berries! What a joy to see just a glimpse of what God's glory is like and what heaven will be! Hugs, sweet friend!
