What I've Been Up To For The Last Month

Happy Monday
and
Happy June, sweet friends!
It has been a whole month since I took my "little" blogging break. . .
my oh my, where did the month of May go?
I must say that it's good to be back
and please know that I sincerely missed all of you while away on my break.
How are you?
Are you enjoying this beautiful month of June?
Oh, I hope so!
When I took my blogging break I was encouraged by several of you
to enjoy the time away and to take time to smell the roses.
Well, I did indeed take time to smell the roses {{smiles}}
These were from my darling husband for our anniversary which we celebrated in May.

So. . .
my family and I stayed quite busy while I was away on my break.
We were hit with an icky bug that went through all of us,
but by the third week we were feeling much better-
praise the good Lord!

While I was away I participated in a delightful Stationary Swap
that was hosted by the lovely Barbara from Small Moments.
I was paired with Lorrie from Fabric Paper Thread
and these are the beautiful items that I was given. . .

A beautiful set of cards, a pen with my name on it,
and some sweet paper cutouts.

Lorrie did such a wonderful job with everything she sent me
and I was truly blessed by her kindness.
This is what I sent her way. . .
some handmade cards, pocket cards, paper tags and bags,
stickers, ribbon, card stock, etc.

My husband, son, and I were also able to attend a few Rockies baseball games
and as many of you know we do enjoy our baseball {{smiles}}
The next game that we are going to will be at then end of this month
and the Rockies will be playing the Toronto Blue Jays.
Several of you are aware that my dad and his side of the family are Canadian
so it will be a fun game.
And speaking of my dad, he will be going with us to the game.
Anyway, here are some photos. . .

Nolan Arenado is the third baseman
and my son's favorite player.

Carlos Gonzalez plays right field.

DJ LeMahieu plays second base
and is my favorite player :)

Trevor Story plays shortstop
and this is his first year with the Rockies.

From left to right:
Eddie Butler, Jon Gray, Christian Bergman, and Chad Bettis.
These four guys are pitchers.

Gerardo Parra plays in the outfield
and is one of my husband's favorite players.

Charlie Blackmon also known as "Chuck NaZty"
plays center field and is loved by all :)

Some of the teams we saw play were
the Arizona Diamond Backs,

the San Francisco Giants,

and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Speaking of baseball,
my little one is playing for the first time
and this previous Saturday he had his first game.
He is already thoroughly enjoying himself.

While watching my son play baseball
I noticed an Osprey kept flying around these lights at the ball field
so I zoomed in and found a nest up there with a baby in it.

And speaking of birds,
we had a charming robin couple in our yard
and they made a nest complex on my husband's ladder.

They built five nests
and of course used the one that was the most "flimsy."

While on my break my family and I also attended a Broncos event in our town.
You are probably starting to notice that my son enjoys sports {{smiles}}
Here he is meeting a couple of the players.

Bennie Fowler is a wide receiver.

Ty Sambrailo is an offensive lineman.

Kayvon Webster is a quarterback.

Okay, I'm done with the sports now :)
While enjoying some time off from the computer
I found a little time to work in my craft room,
but to be honest not much time.
I think during this last month I was only in there for three days!
I whipped up a few summer tote bags
which you can find in my Etsy shop
Rose Petal Blessings.
Here are a couple and there are other options available in the shop.

Any that's what I've been up to, my friends.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being patient with my return to blogging.
I truly needed this time away to simply breath and be still.

I am excited to get back into the swing of things
and I have a few sweet recipes coming up as well as some fun tutorials.

Thank you for being there and for being a blessing in my life!

Much love and sweet hugs to you!

Also, a big thank you for stopping by
and reading the book reviews that I left while on my break.

Hello dearest Stephanie,

Those roses are absolutely beautiful!

It is cute that you love baseball together. I went to one game a few years ago with my husband and children. They enjoy baseball, but I have to confess that I am thoroughly impatient with it; it is too slow for me. Football is much more interesting. I think it sounds like fun, though, you getting to see your little one having a thrill playing baseball.

Your new tote bags are lovely. I am very impressed with your handiwork.

Speaking of your handiwork, I think you did a splendid job on those cards for your stationery exchange – it is evident that so much love went into the making of them. And those gifts you received are truly lovely as well. I used to have a set of stationery like that, with the hydrangeas. Hydrangeas are one of my most favorite flowers. I enjoyed that set of stationery more than any other I have ever owned.

I am so delighted to see you here again. I was away for nearly a month, myself. I had not known that you and your family were not feeling well, but I am thankful to know that you are all well again.

June is lovely; my family and I are enjoying every beautiful day.

God bless you, sweet friend.

Love and hugs,
♥Hope

Welcome back Stephanie, You have surely been missed. I understand too well taking some time to be still and concentrate on family and some fun!! Love all your pics from the games and your sweet little guy playing baseball. Love the pic of you and he together. The bird nests on the ladder is really a treat to see. It certainly is the year for nest as we have several here too and what fun it's been to watch mother bird work so hard to build and take care of her baby birds.
Your tote bags are gorgeous. Such pretty details on each.
I'm back to blogging too only limited to one day a week going forward. It has been a good direction after 10 years and working out better.

Blessings to you for a beautiful new week and great month of June.
Oh and Happy Anniversary too. Your roses were gorgeous!!

Good for you for taking a well deserved break to just be still. Although, you did make the most of your time away.

You and your swap partner shared some beautiful gifts.

It is nice that you enjoy sports especially since it looks like your little man is going to be a player himself. Those are special and fun times.

I hope your hubby doesn't need his ladder any time soon. The current residents may have something to say about it.

Thanks for sharing your past month with us. It is always so special when you share about your family. (By the way, I hope everyone is feeling better!)

Hugs!

Stephanie, you sure had a fun-filled month of May. Happy Anniversary, my friend. Oh, I smiled when I saw that you son was so into sports, as my son was also. He played many sports, but his favorite was football. How fun it must have been for your son to see a few of the baseball games. Look at that nest the Robin built! That must be a sight for you when you go in your yard. I wonder what your husband is going to do when he needs his ladder, those silly birds. :) Your tote bags are darling, and this is such a wonderful picture of you and your son.

May you have many blessed June days, dear Stephanie.

What a wonderful time spent with your family! I love baseball too, although my heart has always been with my hometown team, The Cleveland Indians. Some of my most precious memories were those spent with sons watching "The Tribe" in the 1990's (some of the best years the team was having). We went to many games at both the old and the new stadiums. . . Wow! Now I'm going to spend my afternoon reminiscing. Maybe I'll call my boys, too! Glad to see you back, Stephanie.

My boys played baseball when they were young - my youngest making it to the all-stars. So many happy memories of those home-town games......Don't you look so sweet with your son! I knew you got some reading done from your book reviews but it looks like you had a good break (after the illness passed) with some sports events and a little crafting.
The goodies you and Lorrie exchanged are lovely and I'm sure you'll both enjoy the new things.
We were at the Blue Jays game in Toronto Friday night after going out for dinner for our daughter's birthday so you know who our house will be cheering on when we play your team. ;-)
Poor robins built so many nests only to use the most sparse one as you pointed out but maybe time ran out and the eggs were ready for delivery.
Have a good week Stephanie!
