Rejoice In The Lord

God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.

I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.

Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

O rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified,
I shall come forth as gold.
- Ron Hamilton -

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
- Proverbs 3:5 & 6 -

 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also:
knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience;
and experience, hope.
- Romans 5: 3 & 4 -

Bring forth a vessel pure and tried
by Your refining fire.
God's refining fire,
God's refining fire.
May it purge me now
and make of me what you require.
O Lord feed the fire
Your refining fire.
Now as gold and silver must be tried,
Lord, may my heart be purified.
Lord, send your great refining fire.
- Mac Lynch -

Have a glorious and blessed Lord's Day, friends!
Much love to you!

Oh, dearest Stephanie, this is an especially beautiful post today! First, I always love the photos especially when you add Scripture verses (so I pin them and hope others will visit, read, and be blessed). What a beautiful message to remind us that God never allows things in our lives without purpose - His purpose. And may we come through all the various trials better and able to shine for Him...giving us opportunity to give an answer for the hope that lies within us. Praise God we know He holds us in the palm of His Mighty hands...both here and forever! Thank you, dear friend, and have a blessed and beautiful week! Hugs!

Oh now I will have that song in my head all night! A musician friend of ours wrote music to go with that first verse and the whole song is just repeating it over and over... "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice!". It's very catchy and I find myself singing it all the time. Beautiful post!

Beautiful post, Stephanie. I am familiar with both songs -- "Rejoice in the Lord" and "God's Refining Fire" -- and both are so meaningful. The Scripture graphics are just lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Experience produces hope....now there is a thought. And it's true. Because out of every circumstance, we DO see His faithfulness in teaching us what we need in order to have the character it takes to truly know Jesus. Good morning my friend!

Hello dear Stephanie,

I love your beautiful flower photos. These verses are so encouraging. Wow, Romans 5:3,4 are something difficult to learn but so amazing. May we gain the patience, experience and hope to become all that our Lord wants us to be. It will be a glorious day when we reach heaven.

Hello dear Stephanie! Sometimes I wish I could find a better word than beautiful, though it says what I want it to!
This post was so refreshing. Those exquisite little elderflower florets, like tiny stars really do reflect God's handiwork and make you joyful. Paired with your words, a perfect match.
I hope you are enjoying your week and that you still have those deep blue skies.

Your pictures are just beautiful, love that blue sky in the background :) So thankful for his guidance and presence in my life, I don't know how I would get through the difficult times if for not knowing that he has a plan for my future and what I am going through is getting me ready for that. Have a terrific week!
