Sweet Gifts From The Tea Cup and Mug Exchange

Life is like a cup of tea. . .
to be filled to the brim and enjoyed with friends.

The 10th Tea Cup and Mug Exchange is winding down
and tomorrow we will have the lovely tea party
where the participants share their tea cup and mug treasures.
I am looking forward to the big reveal
and I would love for you to pop in for a visit
so that you can enjoy the tea party with us.
The reveal post will be up on my blog tomorrow morning
at 7:00 am {mountain standard time}.

Today I am showing you the goodies I sent and received.
Let's begin with the beautiful treasures I received.

Sweet Sarah sent me quite the package of loveliness!
When I opened the box this is what greeted my eyes. . .

Be still my heart. . .pink, pink, and more pink!
Have you ever seen such beautiful wrapping, my friends?
And each wrapped gift had a sweet note attached to it.

Sarah blessed me with a wonderful craft book that will be put to good use,
handmade delights such as the wooden sign
and the charming trinket/key chain.
The mug has pink roses on it and as most of you know
I love pink and roses {{smiles}}.
I was also given some very tasty treats which included Macaroons.
Can I tell you something, my friends. . .
I have never ever had a Macaroon!
Oh, I have always wanted to try them,
but I have never been able to find them here where I live.
I was tickled pink when I saw them amongst the gifts
and my oh my, were they ever tasty!
Along with these beautiful gifts
Sarah blessed me with a stunning handmade card.

Many, many, many thanks to Sarah for such a beautiful
and generous mug package.
I was truly amazed at the love she poured into everything
and I am honored that I was the recipient of her kindness.

The next oh-so-wonderful package I received was from Kris.
Oh my, is this lady ever precious!
This was her first time participating
and I must confess that I am incredibly glad she sent to me.
Not because of her beautiful gifts
{though I am very thankful for them},
but because of her sweet friendship.
From the moment she found out she was sending to me we simply hit it off
and ever since then we have been corresponding by email and snail mail.
She is a gem!
Kris wrapped everything up in tissue paper that shouted SPRING
with its bright and happy colors.

She gifted me with a most lovely Haviland tea cup
and I must say it's in perfect condition
A true beauty for sure!

Kris made the package extra special
by blessing me with antique items
that belonged to her mother and grandmother.
I was in tears when I read about the items she included
and was truly humbled that she would give them to me-
an almost complete stranger!

This sweet little handkerchief belonged to her mother
who was born in 1917.

And this delightful compact belonged to her grandmother
who was born in 1897!
Now you can see why I was quite teary-eyed
when I opened these precious gifts.

Kris also made me this cute little pin cushion.
It is made with pink floral fabric
and on top is a darling little doily. . .
she certainly knows me well, wouldn't you agree!

Kris also gave me a tea pot ornament,
coffee {which is already all gone}, Darjeeling tea,
lotion, and a fun sewing and embroidery pattern.
The kindness Kris showered upon me will never be forgotten
and the items belonging to her family will be
treasured and cherished for many, many years.

Last but certainly not least. . .
I received a gorgeous package from Montse who lives in Spain.
I am so thankful I was able to connect with Montse
as she is a truly beautiful and gracious lady!
I opened her package to find these lovely goodies inside. . .

The mug is quite pretty with the black and white butterfly
and it's the perfect size for an afternoon cup of coffee or tea.

She included this stunning handmade card.

And to my delight she gifted me with a cute little thimble
and sweet-smelling perfume.

Oh, what thoughtfulness went into these gifts from Montse!
I couldn't help but smile as I unwrapped each beautiful item
and I must say that my heart has been overflowing with joy ever since.

Dearest Sarah, Kris, and Montse,
thank you from the very depths of my heart
for blessing me with your love, kindness, and friendship.
I will be forever grateful!

Now you may be wondering why I received two mugs and one tea cup. . .
well, let me tell you why, my friends.
As you know this was my 10th exchange
and with each exchange the number of participants grows.
It is getting more difficult for me to remember who I have paired one another with
and this time around I accidentally paired a few ladies together
that have already sent to one another in the past.
Whoopsie daisy!
I rearranged some of the pairings and thought I was good to go. . .
then I received an email from sweet Montse
saying the lady I paired her with was the lady she sent to last time.
Oh my, how embarrassing on my end!
I felt awful about the whole thing
so I told her she could send to me
and I would simply send to the lady she was paired with.
I already had my tea cup and mug lady
and their packages were ready to be shipped off
so that explains why I sent and received three packages {{smiles}}

And now I would love to show you the tea cup and mug treasures
I sent off to three ladies around the globe.

I sent a mug to Kimberley who lives in New Zealand.
I have just recently been getting acquainted with Kimberley
and I must say she is a delightful lady!
You can visit her at her blog
Pictured below are the items I sent her way.

The next lovely lady is Cheryl from
This dear lady is a very special friend
and it was an honor to send her a package of mug happiness.

I sent a tea cup to Michelle who is from Australia.
She mentioned that she liked the color turquoise
so I tried to send items with that color tone.
I went on a hunt trying to find a tea cup with turquoise in it,
but alas, I couldn't find one so I sent this dainty set
which had a soft blue color to it.
I was hoping it was close enough to turquoise.

And finally. . .
I sent a mug package to dear Irene
since the original lady did not come through as promised.
It was an absolute joy putting this extra package together
and it blessed my heart to be able to minister to Irene in a special way.

Well, my friends, that wraps up my reveal.
I apologize for the lengthy post,
but it's rather hard trying to share so many wonderful things
with just a few photos and words.

I hope you stop by tomorrow or sometime later this week
to see what the other participants received.
If you would like to learn more about the exchange
you can click here to read more on the event.

Have a splendid day
and I will "see" you tomorrow!

Love and hugs!

Though I am your mother and I get to view and use :-) your delightful gifts received, this post just lit up my morning!!
Stephanie, what a beautiful post as you shared the love and gifts those ladies blessed you with, and blessed you were in deed! I too shed a few tears as I read about those items Kris passed on to you that were heirlooms of her family, that is love. I'm happy to hear that you two have come to enjoy one another's friendship, how beautiful.
Your ladies were all so sweet to you and you as well to the dear ladies whom you so graciously shared your love with. Your post was filled with beauty and color on this spring day. :-)
You shouldn't feel bad about pairing ladies up twice, my goodness, you do exceptionally well time after time pairing so many ladies.
You are certainly the "hostess with the mostess" so, thank you,for all that you do so that we may enjoy the beauty of this lovely tea cup/mug exchange.
Your beauty shines forth in such a lovely, gentle way and God is glorified.
Love you so much~~

The love of the Lord just flows through all you write and share, dear Stephanie and it is a sweet joy to ''know'' you in this beautiful world of blogging... {{smiles}}

What precious gifts you received from so many dear, thoughtful ladies around the world... I love your new teacup...it is so very dainty and a wonderful addition to your collection! How thoughtful of Kris to include items her mom and grandmother treasured... And OH! Sarah wrapped each pretty item she sent you so lovingly... How fun it must have been to receive such a gorgeous package from Spain! And of course...the friendships made are worth their weight in gold! {{Smiles}}

You put together the most amazing packages for each of the ladies you sent mugs to! I am so glad you were paired with Cheryl from Homespun Devotions...she is a special blessing in my life and in the lives of a great many, I know! {{smiles}}

I know these ladies were blessed out of their socks by your kindness and generosity! {{smiles}} I am so pleased the exchange went well, dear friend... Hello Lovely. I enjoyed stealing a few moments to sit and enjoy this post today. Your pretty in pink treats were a joy to behold. I love the time and care Sarah spent on your gifts. What a treasure she is as you can see all of the time and effort she spent. She has quite a feminine touch. I have only had macaroons a couple of times. Trader Joe's sells them in the freezer section and so does Sam's Club :)
Kris's cup, the Haviland, is precious. And Darjeeling is probably my favorite, or at least top 5! But gifting you with family heirlooms... WOW! That is precious.
Montse... what an interesting and lovely name. I love the little garland she sent. So sweet.
I am curious about ladies getting paired up with people they have had before. Unless there were some sort of issue for them personally, I would let the "confetti" fall where it may, and just advise ladies in the next round that there is every possibility that could happen, which only serves to deepen continuing friendships - - - smile :)
Quick tip on that Lemon Basil lotion. I bought some of that last summer and put mine in the car. It does not accept heat well at all. It turned into a liquid mess, and even putting it into the fridge... well, it never did recover, and stayed watery :(
That washi tape with the little mugs you sent to Irene is super cute!
I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the party!
I also now subscribe to the USPS mail notifications, which emails me pictures of my mail due to arrive for the day (SO COOL!), and I see something arriving later today from you!!! Yay! Guess I had better get the kettle ready. Love you my friend. Give E a hug from California!!! ~Heather
