6 Days Of Yo-Yo Fun.....Yo-Yo Bookmarks

Reading
is dreaming with eyes
open wide.

Happy Friday, friends!
The weekend is here. . .
do you have any special plans?
Whatever you do I hope it's extra beautiful.

What is a bookshelf
other than a treasure chest
for a curious mind.

Today for the 5th day of our yo-yo fun
I have some lovely little bookmarks.
These are ever so easy to make
so whip up a few fabric yo-yo's. . .
click HERE to find out how to make them.

And grab some lace or ribbon trim . .
any size and color will do.

Then, simply attach the yo-yo to the end of the lace strip
with a dab of hot glue.

On the back side
you will want to apply a small piece of felt
like so. . .

You can add an embellishment to the center of the yo-yo,
if you so desire.

Tuck your sweet little bookmark into your favorite book
and enjoy, my friends!
These would make charming gifts for your friends
and family members during the holiday season.

Everyone is a reader. . .
some just haven't found
their favorite book yet.

Happy reading, my friends!
Thank you for visiting
and may you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs to you!

She reads books
as one would breathe air,
to fill up and live.

So pretty and would be such a fun gift to tuck in with a book you are giving. Love all of the quotes too.

Well hello there Stephanie! Thanks for stopping over and leaving a comment. Its been awhile. ;)

We are on a little weekend getaway. Its so nice. We are surrounded by snow and mountains. Warmth of the sun, boys playing in the pool and well...I'm reading some blogs.
Your book marks are so cute. I might have to try my hand at these.
I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and if I don't get back on blogland, I hope you have a very Blessed Merry Christmas!!

Hugs, Amy

Goodness, I didn't know what fabric yo-yos are, and googling, I found a whole new world... and I'm loving it. :)

Very nice! The bookmarks look like they're thin enough to be tucked in with a card for mailing.

I don't have much of a hand at sewing, but these look simple enough to make. I might give them a try sometime soon!! I love how they look inside the books. Also, all the bookish quotes made me smile...they are some of my favorites :)

These would make lovely little gifts - wouldn't a nice basket filled with these be a wonderful gift to take to a nursing home?

What a darling idea! I am in the midst of a yo-yo project myself, started back in November, and I just finished my 80th yo-yo. NOW, I've got to decide how I want my table topper to look. I just love the idea of the yo-yos as a bouquet in a salt shaker, darling!
