My mother-in-law gave this recipe to me
and I don't know what I would do without it.
It's so easy to throw the ingredients into the bread machine
and 1 hour and 40 minutes later I have bread dough.
I use this recipe for basic bread loaves, rolls and of course, cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Place the ingredients into the bread machine according to your manual.
Dust the counter with flour and place your dough onto the flour.
I split the dough and made some dinner rolls
and the other half went towards cinnamon rolls.
and the other half went towards cinnamon rolls.
For cinnamon rolls, roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
Melt 1/4 cup of butter and pour onto dough.
I didn't measure the cinnamon and sugar - sorry.
Just go by what your taste buds like :)
Roll the dough up
Place in a greased 8-inch pie plate.
Lightly grease the top of the rolls and place waxed paper over the dough.
Let rise until they have doubled in size.
For the dinner rolls, just pinch off small balls of dough with your hands
and place in a greased 8x8 pan.
Lightly grease the top of the rolls
and place wax paper over the dough.
and place wax paper over the dough.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for 17 - 22 minutes.
