Happy Canadian Thanksgiving

"For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends."
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

My dad, sister and all of my dad's side of the family is Canadian
so I have enjoyed several Canadian Thanksgiving's while living in Canada
and I am thankful for those special times with my sweet family.
I live in the USA now,
but I still remember Thanksgiving in Canada :)
I am thankful for family, friends and especially God's grace and salvation.

"Giving thank always for all things unto God and the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Ephesians 5:20

Have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

Hi Stephanie,

No, I don't have a recipe for pickled green tomatoes. I remember them tasting so delicious, but everyone I have asked about them has never heard of them.

:) Hope

That is a nice teacup to use for an autumn tea and the table runner with the turkey on it is too cute.
You can celebrate thanksgiving twice then, as many people do.

Hi Stephanie,
What a pretty teacup! How nice that you get to celebrate two Thanksgivings. But I guess when it comes right down to it, we believers could celebrate Thanksgiving everyday for we have much to be thankful for! I enjoyed your poem and of course the scripture in your post. Have a beautiful new week.

Oh, Stephanie, I meant to comment on your wonderful evening and morning fire...how much fun! I love colder weather. We also have a wood stove, but the weather has not cooled down enough here to have a fire. My favorite place is a spot near the wood stove during the colder months.

:) Hope

Happy Thanksgiving Stephanie!
I too lived in Canada for about 20 years and I have many happy memories of a Canadian Thanksgiving. My husbands family are still all there, and we wish them a happy weekend too.
