"Beloved, let us love one another:
for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God."
1 John 4:7
I made these pretty hearts to add a special touch to my home.
I thought they would look nice hanging up in the bedroom or craft room :)
They would also be a nice gift for a special someone.
You will need:
scrap fabric
beads
embroidery floss (thread)
embroidery needle
fiberfill
sewing machine
scissors
iron
heart template
I found my heart template online and printed it off.
The size was 7.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches long.
Fold the fabric in half and pin the heart template to it.
Cut out the heart and pin wrong sides together.
Use a 1/8 inch seam allowance and sew the heart pieces together.
Leave a small opening to stuff your heart.
Trim and notch the curved edges of the heart.
Turn the heart right side out.
Use a pointy (but not sharp) object to push out the edges and shape the heart.
Iron the heart.
Thread your needle with embroidery floss
and tie a knot on one end of the thread.
My thread was about 15 inches long.
Begin stringing your beads onto the floss.
When you are done with the beads,
bring your needle through the last bead to secure and then tie a knot.
Hold your thread nice and tight while doing this.
Stuff the heart with fiberfill and sew the gap closed.
Ta da! You're done :)
