Second-hand Delights

Boy, do I have some treasures to share with you today :)

I went to the thrifty store a couple of weeks ago
and when I walked through the door there were four tea cups sitting on a table.
I was so excited that I practically ran over to them.
Do you ever have those moments when you KNOW you should stop by the thrifty store?
Well, I had one of those moments and I knew I needed to go for a visit :)

I chose two tea cups out of the four - the blue flowered cup and the yellow flowered cup.
Then while I was looking at other glassware and such
I saw the butterfly tea cup all the way up on the top shelf  (so glad I'm tall)
tucked behind a bowl.

This blue flowered tea cup reminds me of my mother-in-law
because of the pretty blue color.

Fine Bone China

Just look at the uniqueness of this yellow flowered tea cup.
I haven't seen one with these colors and different handle shape.

I absolutely LOVE the handle on this tea cup!

Made in England

The butterfly tea cup is quite delightful
with its pretty butterflies and strawberries.
The shape of the tea cup is very charming.

What a lovely day at the thrifty store!
I was able to purchase these tea cups (all made in England) for $15.00.
There was a big smile on my face when I walked out the door!

I also found a tea cup and saucer set the same day,
but I will save it for another time :)

Have a sweet and precious day!

oh my goodness,Stephanie,,, I love these teacups, you sure were lucky to follow your instincts that day! Yes, I do the same thing, I have an addiction, when I go to any store my eyes start looking for anything tea related, so you're not alone. Do you know if there's a cure for this addict?? LOL

I like your choice of books!

These are beautiful, and you did great in finding them! I remember once I was at Goodwill in Eugene and spotted a set of copper canisters. My heart was racing as I ran over to them, I was sure that somebody else in the store was going to get there before me, lol, but they were to be mine and are still on my counter.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me, Stephanie.

These are wonderful! I love tea cups - my mother collected them, and once I knocked the shelf and broke a bunch - my brother and I spent the next 10 years replenishing the collection. Now they are in storage, but I look forward to the day when I open the box and take them out and arrange them beautifully again.

What beautiful teacups. I had a friend who had a huge teacup and saucer collection. She was able to fill her entire kitchen walls with them, it really made a statement. Enjoy them.
