I have seen several safety pin bracelets on blog land
and have wanted to make one ever since I saw them :)
So I finally bought the necessary items
and made some.
Items needed:
1" safety pins
glass beads
clear stretch cord
scissors
decorative beads (optional)
pliers
pliers
Measure your wrist
and figure out the length you need for the stretch cord.
You will want to cut two strands of cord
and cut extra so that you have enough for tying a knot.
Also, you don't want the bracelet to be too tight because the pins might snap open
Also, you don't want the bracelet to be too tight because the pins might snap open
so try and make your bracelet slightly loose but not too loose :)
Place the beads onto the safety pins.
Use pliers to squeeze the safety pin shut so that the pin doesn't pop open.

I originally planned on using 2" safety pins,
but soon realized the beads did not fit on them.
If you are using decorative beads you will want to add them to your pins.
Once you have enough safety pins done
begin putting them on the strands of stretch cord
and alternate your pins like this picture shows.
Tie a knot (I knotted my strands 3 times) once you're done.
Pull tightly!
And you're done :)
I made two other bracelets
and with these I added bigger beads in between the safety pins.
Have a wonderful day, lovelies!

This is the first time I'm seeing these type of bracelets, and I really like the ones you made. You seem to have a natural knack for making them, as I would've guessed you paid at least $20 for one at a boutique somewhere! The colors and charms you chose look great together. Well done.
XOXO,
Meredith
You did a great job on this Stephanie. It's beautiful. ~ Abby

Awesome bracelets! Quite unusual and so pretty!
Stephanie, so adorable! Your bracelets are so whimsical. Years ago I made a sweet pin very similar to your bracelet made of safety pins and pretty beads. I don't know where I put it but I think I'll look for it now. :-)
This is the cutest idea! They are absolutely adorable! I'm not a bead worker but I can sure appreciate how long it must have taken you to make these. I like the one with teal beads the best ;) {{hugs}} to you sweet friend. I think of you often and pray for you ♥
neat bracelet, love the colors you have chosen and the neat added charms!
