Red, White, and Blue Tea Time

Hello, my friends!
Won't you join me today for a patriotic tea?

America the Beautiful

O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.

O beautiful for pilgrim feet, whose stern, impassioned stress
A thorough fare for freedom beat across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control, thy liberty in law.

O beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved and mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness, and every gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream that sees, beyond the years,
Thine alabaster cities gleam - undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.
~ Katharine Lee Bates ~

"Our fathers' God, to Thee, Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing: Long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light;
Protect us by Thy might, Great God our King!"
~ My Country, 'Tis of Thee - Samuel Francis Smith ~

I hope you had a lovely visit;
it's always a blessing and joy to have you stop by :)

About the table decor....
I made the stars with a paper punch and then hot glued them onto wooden skewers.
The red and blue jars are filled with Spanish moss to hold the skewers in place
and I hot glued some lace around the top for a pretty finished look.

The red, white, and blue fabric "bouquet"
is made out of jeans cut into strips and tied onto wooden skewers.

Easy ideas for decorating the table for the 4th of July.
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning sweet Stephanie. Oh, do I love your blog post! It's so fresh and exciting. I used to do so much more holiday decorating when the girls were little. Maybe the grandchildren will inspire me again.
Do have a lovely week.
How is your mom doing?
Love, Linda

PS...love your Sunday post too.

What a beautiful tea I had with you this morning as I ate my fresh fruit for breakfast! I truely felt as if I was right there having tea with you and listening to your soft gentle inspiring music.

What a fantastic table setting!! Your napkin made me think of a firecracker, great idea you gave me.

I am reminded once again of the beauty of America, and how blessed we are to have our home here. May we never forget God and all His goodness to us.

Have a blessed day!
Much love to you.
