First of all,
today was supposed to be the linkup day for those who participated in the Tea Cup Exchange.
I sent out an email yesterday,
but in case you did not get it the linkup has been postponed until this Friday, the 9th.
Some ladies have not yet received their tea cups so I thought it best to wait a few more days.
Sorry for the inconvenience, dear ladies - I look forward to seeing your treasures this Friday :)
Onto the book flower bouquet......
Normally I would not rip into a book for a project

Onto the book flower bouquet......
Normally I would not rip into a book for a project
because I have a love for books, maybe I'm even a little obsessive when it comes to them :)
But I had an extra copy so I decided to use it for a flower bouquet.
I thought it turned out quite nicely and had to share it with you, lovelies.
Items needed to make your own book page bouquet:
(you can always use sheet music or card stock paper)
book pages or whatever kind of paper you choose to use
buttons
flower punches - medium and small
wire
jar - I used a recycled glass syrup jar
Spanish moss
lace and ribbon (optional)
With the flower punches cut out several flowers
(I have 9 flowers in my bouquet).
Place the small flower on top of the big one
then hold the button on top of the little flower and poke though the button hole.
Twist the short piece of wire around the stem to hold everything in place.
Trim the wire to the desired length for the stem.
Now you can add lace and ribbon to the jar for the finishing touch.
Fill the jar with Spanish moss and arrange the bouquet.
No watering involved to keep your flowers alive.
Maybe just a little dusting once in a while :)
Many blessings to you, friends!

Well that is different, if you don't want to cut up a book you could use magazines.

Staying Crafty
I love it, Stephanie. It's pretty and simple. I feel the same when it comes to crafts with book pages, but I often use duplicates or really inexpensive paperbacks from yard sales and such.
Always a pleasure stopping by.

I too can't bear to destroy books, and will only relent if the book literally falls to pieces. Love your flowers, they are superb. (You may recall I used some similar flowers on one of my cards the other day)
