Apples Of Gold

Have you ever pondered the words that come out of your mouth?
Are they uplifting or do they bring down?
Are they full of love or do they speak of hatred?
Are they singing God's praises or do they sing praises about yourself?

"A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!"
~ Proverbs 15:23 ~

"A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth:
but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction."
~ Proverbs 13:2-3 ~

"He that speaketh truth showeth forth rigtheousness."
~ Proverbs 12:17a ~

May our words be as the Bible says,
"Apples of gold in pictures of silver."
May they be beautiful, loving, God-honoring, and full of truth. :)

Have a blessed Lord' Day, friends!

Such a thought provoking post today. It is so true how our mouths can speak good or bad, love or hate, praise to our God, or praise to ourselves, sweet or bitter.
Oh that my words would be as "apples of gold in pictures of silver."

Beautiful photos to go along with this wonderful post.

To God be the Glory!

I admit, my dear friend, I am guilty of having harsh words (at times, not always). How true your post is. Thank you for the gentle reminder. Blessings

Such beautiful words and such a great reminder that we need to be uplifting in our words. I have caught myself telling a couple students this past week...if you can't say something nice....don't say anything. We too need this reminder though....:) Have a blessed and beautiful week my friend!

Hugs, Vicky
What a lovely week and so many things to smile about! A nice glass of wine sounds good! I wonder if lavender grows in Florida. I have never know of anyone here growing it but I am going to look into it. I would love to have a stroll around your beautiful gardens! Lovely photos my friend! Blessings to you for a wonderful week.

Yes, I do wonder if I really am a half cup full type of person. This is a good reminder to all to always be kind and positive.

I so need reminders like this at times, I am guilty of getting caught up in the bad things in our government and do not have many nice 'words' to say. Thank you for the gentle reminder, my friend. xxoo

I do hope you are safe from the floods. My prayers are with your State.

we talked about this today in our Sunday School class, we need to be more conscious about what comes out of our mouths, I know this is an area I need God's help in.

...wow, Stephanie... you have spoken directly to my heart and mind....the words I say and the words I don't say torment me a lot.... I love what you have written..God has spoken to you.
I would like to have a copy of this post to think and pray about.
Would this be possible??

Those pictures are simply amazing and I also love the scripture!

We as Christians need to be reminded of this often. You can change someone's whole day on what comes out of your mouth. As the old saying goes "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!"

Have a wonderful, blessed, uplifting day Stephanie!
