Spiritual Birthday

Happy Monday, blogging friends!
I hope you enjoy this Labor Day and have many beautiful moments with family and friends :)
My darling husband took off for the woods early this morning
so I am enjoying some quiet solitude right now with a steaming hot cup of coffee
while listening to some uplifting hymns.
I eagerly look forward to when my sweetie comes back home
and we can spend the afternoon together.

Today is a special day for me.
A day that marks a life-changing decision I made 22 years ago.

When I was only 5 years old I came to realize I needed Jesus in my life.
So I made the eternal choice to place my faith in the one true Savior, Jesus Christ.

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:
for I am God and there is none else."
Isaiah 45:22 (KJV)

As I grew older there were moments when I doubted my salvation
because I was so young when I became a believer of Jesus
and it bothered me that I couldn't remember everything detail for detail.
But God's Word is faithful and true and often the Lord would show me Scripture
that reminded me it's not a decision filled with "technicalities."

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10: 9-10 (KJV)

When I was only 5 years old I knew I was not perfect and my life was already full of sin.
I understood that Jesus loved me and died on the cross so that His blood would cover my sins.
I realized that once I put my faith and trust in the Lord that I would spend eternity in heaven.
I may have struggled with doubts, but once I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior
I was a new creature in Christ.
Once saved, always saved!

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

There is great hope in the Lord!

"That being justified by his grace,
we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
Titus 3:7 (KJV)

Life is short, sweet friends, but eternity is forever.
There is grace, mercy, and love flowing from our Lord and Savior
and one decision from you that will change your eternity - what will you do?

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and not of yourselves: it is a gift of God:
Not of works, lest any many should boast."
Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-9 (KJV)

Have a beautiful day, friends!
I am off to have another cup of coffee :)

Good Morning, I made the decision to accept Jesus when I was nine.

I'm thankful for my parents and for the example they set forth for my siblings and me.

I just finished a cup of hot coffee and I'm enjoying a cloudy/breezy day.

Hope you have a lovely afternoon.

Hi Stephanie,

Happy Happy Spiritual Birthday sweetie. You are indeed a wonderful child of Gods.
I hope your husband has fun in the woods today, I wonder what he is doing in the woods, taking a walk, hunting, fishing. I find my myself wondering, but love it in the woods myself.
Just to walk and see Gods beauty. I found your new shop and it is awesome!
You might want to try Etsy also even though it is a 20 cents listing fee and a percentage for the sale I am sure you would get sales and it's a nice place to really get yourself out there, they get a huge amount of traffic each day there, they dominate the web when it comes to homemade goodness. Your things in the shop are lovely. I think my favorites are the scarf, the fall leaves, teacup pin cushion and owl and hair accessories. I have many things to add to my shop that are for the hair but never do it, they are just sitting in the basket. Have a wonderful day sweets. Hugs

Thank you for sharing your testimony Stephanie! Such a young age to have such a firm understanding. I have always been to church from a young age, but it wasn't until I was around 22 when I truly understood what Jesus meant to me and took the vow to be faithful to him always. Everything made sense after that. :) Happy Spiritual birthday my dear blogging friend, have a wonderful day! x

Happy Spiritual Birthday to you! I am smiling so big to hear that you accepted Jesus when you were 5...So did I!!! Mrs. Doll, was my kindergarten Sunday School teacher and our scripture memorization for the week was John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. - My grandmother explained it to me and I knew I needed Him..just like you did.

Thank you for sharing with us, this very special day.

Much love to you my sweet friend. xxoo

I too from an early age came to know the Lord as my Savior, it is good to have doubts every now and then I think that is part of being human but it seems to bring me closer to Him and search for understanding... Love your pics, the color just pops from that black and white background, Lovely!

May the LORD bless you with many more years to serve Him Stephanie. How precious it is to know Him. Isn't it the most wonderful thing to belong to our Saviour? I was just a few days shy of five when the Lord saved me...SO long ago! :)

Blessings to you!

I can identity with your post so much. I was also 5 years old when I first accepted the Lord. And, like you, there have been times over the years that I doubted that salvation and was bothered that I couldn't remember specifics...I don't even remember the date when I made that decision. But the enemy always tries to steal our joy and implant us with doubt. He wants to keep us looking back to the past instead of living for the future and what God is doing *now*. :) Thanks for sharing!
