My Jesus, I Love Thee

"And shall I use these ransomed powers of mine
For things that only minister to me?
Lord, take my tongue, my hands, my heart, my all,
And let me live and love for Thee!"
~ Unknown ~

"My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine - for all the follies of sin I resign;
my gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou: if ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me and purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree;
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow: if ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

I'll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, and praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath;
and say when the death-dew lies cold on my brow, "If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now."

In mansions of glory and endless delight, I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;
I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow, "If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now."
~ Adonirum J. Gordon ~

"Whom having not seen, ye love;
in whom, though now ye see him not,
yet believing ye rejoice with joy unspeakable
and full of glory."
~ 1 Peter 1:8 ~

May you have a blessed Lord's Day, dearest friends!

Good Morning!
"Lord take my tongue, my hands, my heart, my all, and let me live and love for Thee". Those words are my daily prayer as I have shared with you. To be a vessel in the hands of the one trueGood who loves us so much, what more should we desire.
This is one of my favorite hymns. Now I will be singing it in my heart through out this beautiful day.
Your photos were precious! You have such an eye with your camera.
I love you! Bless you today

What a wonderful old hymn of praise. Our church doesn't sing the old hymns anymore and I miss that. I wonder how many of the current "praise and worship" songs will have the staying power of Amazing Grace or The Old Rugged Cross.

Great post, Stephanie- xo Diana

Wonderful pictures, and one of my favorite hymns too.

Was reading your profile and thrilled with your testimony. I see we have more in common that tea cups....(big smile)

My hubby is a retired pastor after 50 years, so I have lived and loved being a Pastor's wife, and serving the Lover of my Soul~ Jesus Christ.

Sweet Stephanie...what a lovely post, your photos and the words...oh and the video. That song was one of the first songs I learned after I became a Christian and has always remained so. The heart button are precious against the white lace. Thank you for making me smile!

Have a blessed week!

Good Morning, I awoke to hear His voice; I do love the old hymns so much. I loved getting with the saints on Sunday nights singing for an hour. I think I miss this most of all. We no longer have Church on Sunday evenings.
It has been a very busy week, looking forward to some time with my Hubby. May you have a wonderful week, and still thinking of the tea cup exchange!
Love IN CHRIST Always, Roxy

I'm loving the old hymns more and more. Setting those words to music that has been tweaked just a little has made them new once more. I'm so glad because I want my kids and grandkids to know them too , and now they will!

I had to come back and listen to the beautiful music again, just love it!
Towards the end of the video the sun coming through the clouds on the mountains makes me think of the return of our Lord and Savior. What a day that will be!!
