Don't you love October, dear friends?

I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.
- Anne of Green Gables -

To me, burlap is such a great fabric choice for Autumn, don't you think so?
I love the rustic look and there are endless possibilities of using it for crafts.
The only downside of burlap. . .it sure is messy!
Anywho, I kept it simple and pretty much mess-free with these burlap roses.
They are quite easy to make so let me show you how.

Items needed:

floral wire
hot glue gun and glue

Cut a strip of burlap that is 3-inches wide and 23-inches long.
Apply hot glue to the edge, place the wire stem on it, and roll a little bit.

Then apply a dab of hot glue near the bottom and fold the burlap in.

Continue folding and gluing with the strip of burlap.

Cut out a square of green burlap that is 3-inches in size
and poke the stem through it.

Apply hot glue to the square and press onto the bottom of the rose.

And there is a lovely burlap rose.

I added burlap to a kitchen crock and glued on some rustic metal trees
for the finishing look.

The crock is filled with shredded paper
and I bought the jewel branches from Hobby Lobby.

And now onto the winner of the Autumn Giveaway.
I added the names to my "Autumn" bowl and drew the winner's name.
It is. . .

Congratulations, Valerie!
Valerie blogs over at Silver Linings.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the giveaway.
Hugs and blessings to you!
