Ask Ye What Great Thing I know

May we speak out with clarity and conviction:
"My Lord and God - my highest joy!"
Ask ye what great thing I know
that delights and stirs me so?
What the high reward I win?
Who's the name I glory in?
Jesus Christ, the crucified.
Who defeats my fiercest foes?
Who consoles my saddest woes?
Who revives my fainting heart,
healing all its hidden smart?
Jesus Christ, the crucified.
Who is life in life to me?
Who the death of death will be?
Who will place me on His right,
with the countless hosts of light?
Jesus Christ, the crucified.
This is the great thing I know -
this delights and stirs me so:
faith in Him who died to save,
Him who triumphed o'er the grave.
Jesus Christ, the crucified.
- Johann C. Schwedler -

For I determined not to know any thing among you,
save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
- 1 Corinthians 2:2 -
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- Galatians 2:20 -
But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom the world is crucified unto me,
and I unto the world.
- Galatians 6:14 -
May you have a blessed Lord's Day, dear friends!

You are such a blessing. Truly, you are. You say it like it is. I BELIEVE but yet as a blogger, I never really came out to share the gospel; I pray that God would forgive me for never sharing that HIS SON is my savior; I simply wanted to use words to woo the reader. But Jesus woos the soul, and thank you for reminding me of this today dear Stephanie.

We had friends over last night. It was so refreshing. We spoke of Christ, and His wondrous revelation of life in this life. How can this world continue on this vacuous journey without Him?

Our souls are living in this temporary housing of the flesh. We burst with joy to truly live.

Blessings to you this day, Stephanie! Anita

Wonderful Sunday Meditation, and visuals to help with the meaning.

Yellow roses....I love them. Had two large bushes that had to be left behind when we moved, and I didn't know how to get a cutting to reroot.

You posts do encourage us to share our faith on our blogs and in our daily living.

Love you tons.
