The lovely Deb from Garage Sale Gal
The lovely Deb from Garage Sale Gal
hosted a Pocket Letter Swap last month and I simply had to participate
as I have seen the delights of pocket letters from other blogging friends.
This being my first time I was a little intimidated by the whole process
since I have seen some incredible pocket letters
and I was afraid mine would be mediocre.
But thankfully I was paired up with a kind and gracious woman. . .
Linda from A LA CARTE :)
Linda shared with me that she loves Paris
so for the Pocket Letter that I made her I went with a Paris and Autumn theme.
I had the sweetest time putting it together for her
and here it is all finished with lace, pearls, bookmarks, a lavender sachet,
a fabric pumpkin, a doily, and a shabby rose magnet all tucked inside. . .
You can visit her charming blog and read her post on it by clicking on the link below:
A LA CARTE.
Now for the beautiful Pocket Letter that Linda graced me with.
She filled it with sweet trinkets and delights
that brought a smile to my face and a song to my heart.
Let me show you, sweet friends. . .
This is the front side of the pocket letter
Materials Needed:
autumn kitchen towel
lace
buttons
thread
sewing needle
safety pin
beads
Let's get started. . .
Voila!
A beautiful towel for your kitchen or anywhere else in your home.
Here is another autumn towel with some darling little owls on it.
These autumn delights and other fall items are available in my Etsy shop
Rose Petal Blessings
Have a most lovely weekend, my friends, and a blessed Labor Day!
Hugs and blessings.

Autumn stickers
and a beautiful handkerchief with pink roses {{sigh}}
Many thanks to Deb for hosting such a fun and sweet Pocket Letter Swap;
I can't wait until the next one!
And a big thank you to Linda for blessing me with such lovely items!
I will certainly cherish and enjoy each one.
You can click on the names of these two lovely ladies
and it will take you to their blogs.
Stop by and say "Hi!"
Now for a little Autumn decor that is fun to make and looks festive in your home.
Materials Needed:
autumn kitchen towel
lace
buttons
thread
sewing needle
safety pin
beads
Let's get started. . .
I made a flower out of some vintage trim
by sewing a gathering stitch along the top edge
and sewing the two ends together.
Here is the finished flower.
I hand sewed the flower onto the towel
and then I sewed on some buttons.
To finish it off I placed some beads on a safety pin
and pinned them onto the towel.
Voila!
A beautiful towel for your kitchen or anywhere else in your home.
Here is another autumn towel with some darling little owls on it.
This towel has vintage lace sewn onto the bottom edge
and burlap leaves have also been sewn on.
These autumn delights and other fall items are available in my Etsy shop

I love both yours and Linda's pockets letters, they were a feast for the eyes. The Autumn kitchen towels were also a delight, stunning. You have inspired me into making some for my own kitchen. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend.
All the pocket letters are so pretty. I love how you added all the Paris details to your letters with the little doilies and pearls. So sweet!
And, the one you received was so pretty, too, with the little bow, ribbon, and tea bag... It was truly sweet... Sweet tea!!!
Thank you for sharing these lovelies!
How fun! This looks like such a great thing to do. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have a great weekend! :)
What a creative and thoughtful idea! I have not heard of a pocket letter swap, sounds like fun and looks like fun! Love your towels! Anything with lace and crochet is calling my name! Blessings Dear Stephanie this day, Lynn
Hi Stephanie
I know we've crossed paths a few times, hard not to do if you love tea! I'm now following your blog too although I depend on Bloglovin for my reading feed.
Aren't pocket letter funs to create? I've never received one but I did make a few for new members of a Canadian card and tea exchange I've started. The one you made was lovely as was the one you received.
Such fun dressing up an autumn towel, both are very nice.
Good Morning Stephanie, Love the pocket swap you sent and the pretties you received. You all had so much fun in Deb's swap and such a fun idea.
Love your darling kitchen towels and the special details you added. You are so talented my friend. Thank you for sharing.
Have a nice holiday weekend.
Hugs, cm

Now I wondered how you achieved that look with your embellished towels...so cool. Those are the kind of towels I put out with note on them: If you touch this, I'll get you! Ha! I like your sweet gifts and will go visit without commenting.
You both did a beautiful job with the pocket letters. Such a cute thing to swap!
The towels are really sweet. I have always been quite fond of owls. The burlap leaf accent is perfect!
I'm in love with those precious towels, and I have the perfect place for one of them. :)
You amaze me with the way you can put lace together on something! I love the way you created that flower look.
I was going to participate in that wonderful pocket letter exchange, but just couldn't get it together. You ladies certainly created some beautiful ones ~ Enjoy!
Your idea of creating a Paris look into your theme Fall was lovely.
Looking forward with excitement and anticipation for this upcoming tea cup exchange!!
Have a lovely day ~ Mom
Wow, Stephanie, you always make the most beautiful things! I will have to look at those pocket letters a little more closely; they look so much fun to give and receive. I'm thinking my book club ladies would love something like this. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Dear Stephanie, I love your creativity and how you bring things to be! The pocket letters are beautiful....they remind me of a collage exchange I was in years ago. I was thrilled with the results of others and the challenge!...that left me with enthusiastic memories even now....although I really haven't thought of them for a long time now. Hope you have a peach of a weekeknd! Maggie Ann
My blessed Stephanie, I'm so sorry I haven't the time to participate to your TEA CUP & MUG EXCHANGE, even if I have to confess that I'd love to, but let me say that your towels, which are the protagonists of this post of yours, together with the pocket letters you've made for Deb are truly lovely ... everything you create is an expression of the sweetness and the Joy of your heart !
I'm so proud to have you amongst my blog friends, you make me feel happy, my darling !
Sending much dear love and gratitude

I'm not sure I know what a pocket swap it. It is a tag? They are darling anyway. The towels are precious!
What a fun swap! The pocket letters that you created and received were lovely!
Stephanie, I am so blessed that we were paired up in this swap. I love everything about the pocket letter You made me. Paris, Fall and all the sweet little goodies was so thoughtful of you. I'm glad you enjoyed your letter also since it was my first one :)
These towels are adorable and so clever of you to tweak them into Fall cuteness!
hugs,
Linda
nice towels, love those pocket letters.
The pocket letters of both you and Linda were so thoughtfully made and perfect for the two of you!! What a fun swap with blogging friends.
Your dressed up Autumn kitchen towels are so pretty, Stephanie. I love the vintage trim and the lovely lace. You're so clever! xxoo
You know what I see here? I see love. I see a sweetness that reminds me of the women of the bible. I wonder if Jesus was ever gifted anything handmade by the women who followed him, making Him clothing with their hands....it is a gift to create as He creates, isn't it?
I am not quite sure I get what a pocket letter is, and I've seen them on other blogs, but I think yours is the best I've seen so far....really! So detailed and made with love, it shows.
Of course your towels are adorable too with the special embellishments you add. You must have the best collection of pretties for all the things you make.
I am happy your got into the pocket letter thing! Isn't it fun?! I had to stop for a bit with summer, but hope to so some more for fall. I think they are easy for most people and five you a chance to just have a lot of fun and be creative. Linda is a sweetheart too.
Much love,
Linda
The pocket letter is so cute, neat idea and love them both! Fun dressing up the towels, I especially love the burlap leaves with the button, will have to remember that for a card idea ;)
