Roses of Inspiration #54 - The Last Party

Happy day to you, sweet and faithful friends.
I hope each one of you are doing well
and I trust you are enjoying the first lovely days of spring.
We are supposed to get snow and rain this week - oh joy! :)

Before we start the party I have some news I would like to share. . .
I have prayerfully decided to stop hosting Roses of Inspiration.
This has been a hard decision to come to,
but I know this is what the Lord wants me to do right now.
My dear friends, I truly love hosting this party every week
and every week I am inspired by all of you.

You made me smile when I saw your delightful creations,
laugh at the antics of your children or grandchildren,
swoon over your stunning home decor,
and even cry when some of you bared your soul and shared your heart.

For the last year you have blessed me in more ways than one
by simply sharing your sweet self with Roses of Inpiration.
I am filled with gratitude for ALL OF YOU
that linked up with Roses of Inspiration.
You took the time to stop by
and it meant the world to me.

Dearest friends,
I find my blogging schedule is becoming too much for me to handle
and right now my best option is to say "goodbye" to Roses of Inspiration.
I will still share the beloved hymns on Sunday,
a crafting, tea, or recipe post during the week,
and book reviews on the weekend.
I hope you understand my need for stepping away from this precious party.

I can't thank you enough for joining me on this adventure.
You made Roses of Inspiration
memorable and beautiful.

May you have a blessed Easter!

Without further ado,
let's get the last party started
by beginning with some lovely Easter and Spring features.

It has been a delight to visit your lovely Roses of Inspiration, each week. Within this lovely party there are so many gorgeous and truly inspirational blogs which are showcased. Thank you lovely Stephanie for enabling me to travel around the world from the comfort of my sofa, with a cuppa in hand. Thank you for the colossal time and effort you have taken each week to host this delightful party. I will sorely miss your lovely party, but I understand perfectly your need to step back. Take care, Stephanie, and take a little time to smell those beautiful roses.

Such a good example to all of us that it's the right thing to keep our days balanced and free to do what's most important. Thank you for all you do in keeping your blog as a place women can come visit and find inspiration for our day.
And thank you for sharing my Spring post today. I feel so honored.

Dear Stephanie,

I count it a privilege to be part of this (sadly) last party and I just want to say thanks for all you do...for all you give.

This blog has been a blessing to many, including me (all the way from Nigeria) and I am truly going to miss this segment. If it has become so stressful and distracting, then you have taken the right decision, sis.

God bless you for all you do.

But I am happy you are continuing with regular blogging and I'll always check on you.

Christine said...

Dear Stephanie your decision is totally understandable given the pressures to host & post & visit & comment etc! You have been a most wonderful host & the link up party was a highlight for me to participate in, & meet so many other wonderful bloggers!
Everything you do is done with such loving attention to detail & beauty & I truly appreciate your hard work.
So glad you will still be posting regularly!
God bless!

Good Morning, I will assure you that this is the best teaching point you could show us ladies! We must put our husbands and family first! But even before we can do this, we need quiet time with the Lord daily.
Your blog will always still minister to the ladies that stop in.
These link parties require a full time position of the person that host them. God will honor and bless you for obeying His leading...
Even our blogs must reflect what he wants us to do and be for Him!
Much Love, and I am so proud of you!!

My dear Stephanie...although I am saddened to hear this news, I totally understand your decision. I have wondered at times how you possibly keep up with all that you do! The teacup exchanges are quite a lot just by themselves for you to put out so much effort for...I am saying this like I really have a clue, which I don't! I can only imagine! You give and give so much of yourself to your readers and I totally understand that you are spreading yourself quite thin because that is who you are...a sweet, giving soul. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Roses of Inspiration and I thank you for that opportunity to share my heart and my photos! I know it must have been a difficult decision for you but when you follow the leading of the Lord, you can never go wrong! Enjoy your sweet family and I'm looking forward to getting my package sent out in the mail today!! Hugs!

Dear Stephanie... it's bittersweet as I post this comment today! I must say that my heart is quite sad about the closing of this wonderful party that you shared every week, yet there was sweet joy in my heart too when I read the words you had written, because I worried so much about you and all that you had on your plate to do, with the etsy shop, the tea exchanges, the book reviews, homeschool, and just being a mom and wife! I absolutely know, without a doubt, that this is the BEST decision for you, and so thankful the Lord granted you wisdom with letting it go. You have graced "blogland" with beauty, love and graciousness in such amazing ways... all of us ladies who visit here have been blessed mightily by your efforts. Please know that I truly am thrilled that you are following the leading of the Lord, and will continue to keep you in my prayers! You have become a precious friend to me, and although we may never meet this side of heaven, your friendship will always remain treasured to me. I look forward to what the Lord has in store for you in the days ahead! Much love to you dear Stephanie, and may the Lord bless you richly in His love today :)

Dearest Stephanie,

First of all, Happy Spring to you! Despite the weather you're expecting, I hope you're enjoying the first week of Spring in other ways :)

Second, I just want to say THANK YOU for hosting this link up party so faithfully for the past year. It has been such a delight and blessing to come here each week and share and find new blogs to read and enjoy. You have been the most lovely hostess and everyone here has been blessed by your kindness and generosity. I do, however, totally and completely understand why you are ending this part of your blogging journey. Blogging is a lot more work than most people realize...sometimes spending hours on just one post! Sometimes it is necessary to lessen one's load just a bit so that we can focus on other things, and I know for you how precious your family is to you!

Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you so much! I do so look forward to all your other posts, though! You always share such encouraging and inspiring posts :)

Hope your week is lovely and that your Easter is beautifully blessed! We're getting ready to fly to NYC for the Easter weekend, so I wanted to wish you a lovely holiday ♥

Thinking of you, and sending much love and many hugs,

Good morning, beautiful! I know the feeling. I know what it's like to make that hard decision. There simply just isn't enough time sometimes to continue down a certain path, but we both know that when we do decide to travel down another path, we are still going toward our intended destination: creativity, caring, community.

Blessings to you!

Dear Stephanie,
I'm so sorry that you need to stop with your Roses of Inspiration party for now, but I understand the need. This past year was terrible for us with having to sell our beloved home, then the move, and all. Now I feel more settled and am getting back into blogging. :)
I do enjoy reading over here on your site ~ you ARE an inspiration from God and DO promote Him, just in case that might be worrying you. Sometimes I feel like I'm just promoting myself, and sometimes I need to, but I know why I'm writing and where God wants me to go with it, so I continue. I hope to grow and keep blessing people. Do know that your blog has blessed us in many ways! We need more Christian bloggers! And, though mine doesn't always come across that way, my heart is always praying and asking am I doing this right?
I hope you and your family have the best Easter and I'm glad you will continue writing.
Love, prayer and hugs to you,

Dear sister, I will certainly miss your sweet link ups, but I understand the strain. Life is always about prioritizing, and sometimes this is true more than at others. Life changes, things happen, and we have to make choices about where the Lord would have us spend our efforts. Simplifying our lives sometimes comes at a price, but when it's the right thing to do the returns are worth it! :-) Keeping pressing toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Dearest Stephanie, what a tribute to you that you can see beyond the fun of gathering cyber friends together once a week, and stay true to your real family and friends. You give so much, and we are truly lost in how to return that to you. Perhaps now we can show you that our visits to you have more to do with wanting a little Stephanie-Magic in our lives, and not just about a linkup. I admire your decision and will continue to support you. I know how hard linkys are to sustain, and have had second thoughts about my own linky, fairly often. Who knew they were so time consuming! Dear Stephanie! I am just now reading this, as I am still having computer issues and am so out of touch with blogger friends. :( I am so sad to think of seeing the end of something that has blessed so many, including me. However, I know SO well what you are feeling...God is faithful to let us know when we are overdoing, and we need to take a step back. May He bless you in whatever endeavors you take on, and may He always keep you in His loving care.

It's very important to keep things balances, Steph, don't you worry. If and when things ever slow down you can always pick it back up. You need not worry or apologize. Anyone who blogs regularly knows how difficult it is to find the time for little else....let alone hosting a weekly party and also book reviews - not to mentioin hosting a HUGE tea cup exchange twice a year!

If you can even find time to eat, sleep or shower is amazing, actually.

God bless. Take a big deep breath, dear friend, you have earned it. ♥
