All Creatures Of Our God And King

The Lord is good to all:
and his tender mercies are over all his works.
All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord;
and thy saints shall bless thee.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom,
and talk of thy power.
- Psalm 145:10 - 11 -

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in Heaven along,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice,
Ye lights of evening, find a voice!

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
Make music for thy Lord to hear,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
That givest man both warmth and light.

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Dear mother earth, who day by day
Unfoldest blessings on our way,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
The flowers and fruits that in thee grow,
Let them His glory also show.

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

And all ye men of tender heart,
Forgiving others, take your part,
O sing ye! Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
Praise God and on Him cast your care!

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

And thou most kind and gentle Death,
Waiting to hush our latest breath,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou leadest home the child of God,
And Christ our Lord the way hath trod.

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!

O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
- Francis of Assisi -

All the magnificent wonders of nature
reveal the majesty of God and glorify Him.
As a great lover of nature,
Saint Francis of Assissi saw the hand of God in all creation,
and he urged men to respond with
expressions of praise and alleluia.

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon,
There there is discord, unity.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is error, truth.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is sadness, joy.
Where there is darkness, light.
For it is in giving, that we receive.
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned.
It is in dying, that we are born to eternal life.
- Saint Francis of Assisi -

I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Every day will I bless thee;
and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.
- Psalm 145:1-3-

My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord:
and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
- Psalm 145: 21 -

Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth
by thy great power and stretched out arm,
and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands,
and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers
into the bosom of their children after them:
the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name,
Great in counsel, and mighty in work:
for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men:
to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day,
and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day.
- Jeremiah 32:17-20 -

 For of him, and through him, and to him,
are all things: to whom be glory for ever.
- Romans 11:36 -

Saying with a loud voice,
Fear God, and give glory to him;
for the hour of his judgment is come:
and worship him that made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
- Revelation 14:7 -

 Let the heaven and earth praise him,
the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
- Psalm 69:34 -

All Thy works with joy surround Thee,
earth and heaven reflect Thy rays,
Stars and angels sing around Thee,
center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain,
flowery meadow, flashing sea,
Singing bird and flowing fountain
call us to rejoice in Thee.
- Henry Van Dyke -

This is my Father’s world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world: He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass;
He speaks to me everywhere.
- Maltbie D. Babcock -

My dear friends,
would it be possible for you to offer your praise to God
for His matchless love in some creative way--
original poetry, music, painting. . . ?

As we celebrate this Thanksgiving season
let us not forget to look around and see all that the Lord has blessed us with.
Let us join all of creation in worship and praise of the great Creator.

 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
- Psalm 71:23 -

Praise God continually
for His many blessings
and for His wonders of creation.

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
- Don Moen -

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth:
make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
- Psalm 98: 4 -

May you have a most blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving, dear friends.
I am thankful for YOU!

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
- Thomas Ken -

Love and hugs!

Oh, dear and precious Stephanie, once again what a joyful and thankful post praising God our Father King for His mercy and grace. What a glorious world we live...one in which we can praise Him for all His dear and beautiful (and interesting) creatures. And yet we are His people whom He has drawn to Himself, and may we remember as we celebrate this coming Thanksgiving Day the sacrifice Jesus made for us to enjoy Heaven with Him forever. For that I am most grateful. Yes, we shall praise Him forever...and forevermore. Thank you once again for a beautiful Sabbath post...with love and hugs! xoxo

What a glorious praise worthy post, thank you!
I so enjoyed scrolling down reading all those inspiring words from your hymn to the Scriptures and that prayer from St. Francis is one to certainly put into practice in our every day lives.
I also enjoyed all those fantastic photo shots, wow! The mountain goat was placed perfectly after the wording "Expressions of Praise and Alleluia" his expression is darling.
Your Sunday posts give us much to glean from and I look forward to them every week.
Thank you for taking the time to share your beauty with us.

Have a glorious day~~

I so loved reading St. Francis of Assisi's beautiful words, my friend. They always ring true, don't they? Also, I am currently reading (and am almost finished with) Jeremiah, and that passage that you shared was quite fitting for me as well. Your pictures were so beautiful of all of God's creatures. The one of the bear made me smile!
I am thankful for your friendship and all that you do, dear one! Love and hugs, Kitty

My dear. sweet friend! What a beautiful, beautiful post this was on this Sunday! First, can I just say how cute all those little animals are! And secondly, every word of this post....the hymns, the quotes, the Scripture was so lovely! How true that we must praise our Loving Father for He has done great things for us ♥ And those quotes from St. Francis....such truth! He is one of my favorites and I always take something away when I read some of his words.

Oh Stephanie, it was such a delight to see all the animals on here today. Did you go to the Zoo? That butterfly is so beautiful. The bear looks like he's getting into some mischief. The peacock is truly an amazing bird with its blue feathers and the striking crown on top of its head. But my favorite is the sweet deer. There is something very special about the deer. These are wonderful pictures.

Wishing you a very nice Thanksgiving, Stephanie. Jess and her new husband will be making Thanksgiving dinner this year, and I'm in charge of the pumpkin pies. :) I hope you eat lots of goodies.

love, ~Sheri

Oh the joy that filled my heart as I read through each verse of praise, and viewed the wonderful pictures that you chose to accompany the verses, and my heart did sing and cry out in praise to the Lord for His mighty works! We cannot even begin to fathom the incredible depth of His creativity in this creation, and I never will understand how anyone could not believe in the Lord when they look at the vastness of his creation! I have to say, that mountain lion in the tree, and the bear in the barrel, and the butterfly are three of my favorites. Many hugs to you today dear friend, praising the Lord with you!
