Girly Bow Pillows

every day.

Hello, my lovely friends, followers, and readers!
How are you on this delightful Wednesday?
Today I have some sweet little bow pillows to show you.
They are easy peasy to make
and they add the perfect touch of charm and femininity to your home.

Let's get started, shall we. . .

Supplies needed:
sewing machine and all that good stuff

As you can see,
I made three pillows and the measurements are as follows:

large bow
two pieces of fabric that are 8x12-inches,
one small piece of fabric that is 5x10-inches

medium bow
two pieces of fabric that are 7x11-inches,
one small piece of fabric that is 4x9-inches

small bow
two piece of fabric that are 6x10-inches,
one small piece of fabric that is 3x8-inches.

Fold the small piece of fabric in half
with right sides together.

Sew along the edge,
but leave the ends open.

Turn the fabric right side out
and press with an iron.

Bring the two raw edges together
and sew along the edge.

Turn right side out
so that the seam is on the inside.

For the pillow
you will want to pin the two pieces  of fabric right sides together
and sew along the edges.
Leave a small opening!

Flip the pillow right side out
and fill with Poly-fil.
You don't want to stuff your pillow
since you have to put the small ring of fabric around the center.
Sew up the opening.

Gently pull the small ring of fabric around the pillow
and place in the center.
Once you have it positioned where you want it
you can add a lovely little embellishment to the center.
As you can see I added a fabric flower to each pillow.
I simply hot glued them on.

You can add lace, pearls, gems, and so much more.
Be creative, my friends.

These pillows would look adorable in your little girl's room
or sew some up to give to a special friend.

It's always a joy to have you pop in for a visit.
May your day be extra beautiful!
Love and hugs!

Again, thank you for your prayers for my Grandma Dee Ann,
you are amazing, my friends!
She had the mitra valve clip procedure yesterday
and seems to be doing well-
praise the Lord!
She is not out of the woods yet
so prayers on her behalf are very much appreciated.

Hello Dear Stephanie, So glad your grandmother has had the procedure done! Will lift you all up in prayer today!
I do hope you're all doing well! I really think these pillows are super cute! I have been working on my miniature doll house for the State Fair this year! It has been so much fun! We had all nine grandkids for eight days earlier this month what a joy...

So happy your grandmother had the surgery and is doing well. Keeping her in my prayers. And your bow pillows..... just darling.. have never seen something even similar and I love them! Love the fabrics you used.. and that you used yo yo's for the flowers. Absolute darling is all I can say. Am saving this idea to my "idea list" to make at some future point when I can get time to do some sewing. Summer and yard and garden (and trying to keep the pests away) takes up so much time! Thank you for this great idea. Have a nice weekend. Marilyn

Dearest Stephanie,
How catching up on many of your posts has blessed me this evening. What a creatively beautiful idea these lovely pillows are! Oh dear friend, I can just imagine the gifting possibilities for these. I just bookmarked this and hope maybe a baby girl will come along in one of the families in our family soon so I can make one of these ;) I am also going to show my mom these because I know we would love to make a few of these for our sewing room- we are hoping to all move very soon and are excited to decorate a new sewing room when the time comes. I showed her your beautiful craft room when you first shared it when you moved into your new house and we were so inspired by it.
Your creativity and love in your handiwork is always so inspiring. I don't know if I can pick a favorite, but the blue fabric with the old-fashioned script is so lovely. May I also say how much I love that Colorado hankie/tea-towel! Oh, those colors!

As I catch up on your posts, I have also just started reading your post telling about your summer so far and what a joy reading of your own joys as you spend precious time with your husband and son and treasure adventures with them. I loved hearing of what fun and special memories your son is making playing baseball this summer, too! How wonderful. And I will also keep in my fervent prayers that the Lord would put His healing arms around your dear Grandma Dee Ann and deliver her from her health troubles. I am so sorry to hear of that. Prayers and much love!

Prayers and many blessings,
