Life starts all over again
when it gets crisp in the fall.

I wanted to let you know that I never heard from Janet,
the winner of Introducing Beebo.
So I have picked a new winner. . .

In the blink of an eye autumn will be here.
Where did summer go, my friends?
I had so many dreams and plans to fulfill this summer,
but alas, I didn't get half of them accomplished.
Such is life, I suppose.

School will soon begin
{just 6 more days}
and the leaves will begin to change. . .
In anticipation for autumn I made this fun bucket list
for my son to do during the fall months.
Each little envelope has something fall-related tucked inside
and throughout the next couple of months
my son will randomly pick an envelope.
Here is how I made it. . .
First of all, I printed out 15 fall-related ideas.
Then I cut the ideas into strips
so that they would fit inside the envelopes.
Next were the paper envelopes. . .
The size of these are 3x4-inches
and as you can see I simply cut the corners off
to create a pointed center.
I folded up the bottoms
and applied just a teeny tiny bit of hot glue to the edges to seal.
And then I folded up the strips of paper and tucked them inside.
And finally,
I folded the top down and once again
applied the tiniest drop of hot glue to seal the envelope.
I attached the envelopes to a piece of card stock
which I placed in an 8x10-inch frame.
I wouldn' necessarily have used a black one
{a turquoise or burnt orange would have looked nice and "fallish"},
but it's what I had on hand and it met my needs.
I added rhinestones
onto the envelopes.
And on the bottom of the card stock
I glued on paper leaves, rhinestones, and paper flowers.
I wanted to add just a little "pop" of autumn.
And that's it!
I placed this frame in our home
where my son can randomly pick a fall activity.
Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
fluttering from the autumn tree.

And all at once
summer collapsed into fall.
