Beautifully Sewn By Prairie Rose Sewing

A very happy Wednesday to you, friends!
How are you on this lovely day of September?

Today I have some delightful goodies to show you
that were handmade by my dear friend Sarah.

Sarah has her own Etsy shop
 where she sells modest clothing,
handmade items such as quilts and wooden toys,
and vintage delights like tea cups and beautiful china.
I mentioned to Sarah that I had a pattern for a skirt
that I would never get around to making
so I asked if she would be interested in sewing one. . .or three for me.
She graciously said yes - what a dear!
I picked out the fabric,
took my measurements,
and sent everything her way.

This sweet floral print is perfect for summer.

Next up is this darling sunflower print
that shouts out autumn.

And the third skirt has lovely little dandelion puffs all over it.
I must confess that I am in love with this one.

A year ago Sarah made me a beautiful dress
which you can find HERE.
Sarah does beautiful work and you can tell she puts a lot of love and care
into her handmade creations.
She is happy to custom make items for her customers
and she would welcome an order from you.
You can visit her shop by clicking on the link below:
She also has a Facebook page which you can find HERE.

Sarah has kindly offered my friends and readers a discount.
Simply use the coupon code FRIENDS15
for 15% off your order.
Sarah also offers free shipping for USA residents.

And while we're on the subject of friends
I am very excited to share with you a new blog
that my friend Chas recently started called
Chas and I met through the tea cup and mug exchange
and then we, along with her daughter, had the pleasure of meeting over tea
since we live only a few hours away from one another.
Chas is a very talented lady
and her blog is filled with wonderful tips and creations.
I encourage you to stop by for a little visit.

Today is the last day for you to enjoy 20% off you order
Get ahead on your Christmas shopping, sweet friends!

And may I remind you that next Wednesday
registration for the 11th Tea Cup and Mug Exchange will officially begin.
You can click HERE to read about this lovely event.

Hugs and love to you, friends!

What talent! I love those skirts -- I'm a 'skirt' girl myself no matter what the season. Chaz has lovely things as well. Thanks for introducing us to these ladies and their talents!

Wow, your skirts are so lovely and you look beautiful in each of them! Your friend Sarah is very talented. And your choice of fabric is perfect!

the skirts are great and i really like the fabrics you picked. we are like minded in that when i find something i really like, i buy it in 3's or 4's and i don't even worry if the fabric's are the same. i have 4 pair of khaki capri pants that feel like they were home sewn for me. when i bought the first pair and discovered my love for them, i went back and got 3 more. the skirts are undoubtedly comfortable and they look great on you!!

you are photographed beautifully in your pictures, i will stop by and visit chas!!

i love my new knitting bag, i love, love, love it. it is so beautifully sewn and it is perfect for what i needed. thanks so much stephanie!!!

Oh, so pretty Stephanie! I had to go back and look at the dress she made for you. She really does lovely work. And the setting for your pictures is beautiful! I notice that your hair is quite a bit longer than when I saw you, which I know makes you happy! You look lovely either way, but if I could wear longer hair, I'd definitely go for it.
And yay, teacup exchange is around the corner! xo Deborah

Your new skirts are so cute and so YOU! You model them very well. I too love the dandelion one the most. How fun to have your own personal seamstress. I remember the dress from last year and love it too.

How fun to have those sweet skirts made for you! Your friend does a beautiful job. I went and looked at the dress too and it's SO pretty! Love that fabric. I would have bought all 7 yards too! I've sewn all my life, but at this stage, I'd just rather have someone make me something! I checked out Sarah's Etsy page.. I may check to see about her making me some vests. I love vests... made quite a few several years ago but have grown out of them (or they have shrunk???).. hee hee.. but just not into sewing clothes like I used to. I love all your skirts and the fabrics and you look so pretty modeling them. I just went to your Etsy shop and bought a couple of things that I just HAD to have! I love everything you make! Take care.... hugs.. Marilyn

Oh dear Stephanie, here I am an entire week late commenting on this lovely, sweet post you wrote featuring the skirts I made for you! No excuse for my tardiness. :/ I was so excited to see your photographs, and they are absolutely lovely. You are the perfect model, so tall and slender and pretty. A true inspiration for me! I am very thankful the skirts fit you so well and it was a joy to make them for you. Thank you so much for the kind words about my work and for featuring my shop. I was blessed with a very hefty number of hits from your links! You are a precious friend in every way and may the Lord bless you today and always. With love. :)
