Dainty Tea Cups, Pretty Mugs, and Sweet Friendships

(n.) a hug in a cup

The above quote is very fitting
because with each package I received during the Tea Cup and Mug Exchange
I felt as though I was receiving a hug.

Before I show you the lovely tea and mug delights I received and sent out,
I wanted to let you know that tomorrow is the day
for the big tea cup and mug exchange reveal.
I do so hope you'll be able to join the tea party.

And now I'm tickled pink to show you the many lovelies I received.
First up is the delicate tea cup you just saw.
This beauty came from Martha from Martha's Favorites.
Included with the tea cup were gifts that fit me to a T-ea :)

A  vintage linen with beautiful embroidery work
along with a heart brooch that Martha personally made.
What exquisite work!

A vintage plate that is just the sweetest thing.
And speaking of sweets,
she sent along this "For Display Only" treat.
It looks perfect displayed with my tea cup collection.

And to top it off she blessed me with this darling handmade card.
I have it on display in my craft room.

It was a joy to receive Martha's package.

I also participated in the mug exchange and the lovely Cheryl
from The Earth Knows My Name sent to me
and boy oh boy, did she spoil me!.

She gifted me with this pretty pink mug
that is perfect for my early morning cup of coffee {{smiles}}
And isn't the little pumpkin trinket adorable?!
It pops open and reveals a pumpkin inside.

Along with the mug was a matching candle
that smells amazing.
It's a rosemary and mint scent.
Mmm...mmm...so nice!

She included some delicious chocolate bars, too.
When I opened the package there were five, but. . .
you will see in the photo there are only four.
Yes, I must confess that I ate one right after opening the box.

She also sent a cute little doily
and a wonderful devotional.

Once again, I am astounded by the love and generosity
that everyone pours into their packages.
I was incredibly blessed
and the kindness that was poured upon me will not soon be forgotten.

And the love doesn't stop there. . .
I had the pleasure of receiving an extra tea cup package.
You see, due to unfortunate circumstances
I volunteered to send a package to Spain
and in return I received one from England.

Let me show you what was sent across the sea. . .

Olivia sent an abundance of loveliness!
The tea cup is a Bavaria and just the sweetest thing.

Stripester seems to like the tea cup as well.

The Scottish recipe book brought a smile to my face
and oh, the recipes look delicious!
Olivia also sent two "flapjacks" that are snacks found in England
and I must say that are very tasty.
My son and I shared one and it was a fight to see who got the last bite.

She also sent some candy.
The green ones are ever so tasty
and they have some sort of chocolate on the inside.

Duke wanted a taste as well. . .
don't worry, I pulled it away before he got it unwrapped.

It's been a joy getting to know Olivia.
You see, while corresponding with one another
we found out that almost 10 years ago she visited my church
{she and her family are missionaries to England}.
It has been a joy to reconnect with this dear young lady
and I must say that I am so thankful for the way the Lord works

* * * * * * *

Now I know I've shown you a lot of photos,
but I promise they are coming to an end.
Pictured below are the goodies I sent out.

Let's start with Lauren from My Wonderfully Made.
Her blog is named after the verse in Psalm 139
and I found a sweet necklace with the words
"fearfully and wonderfully made"
and I knew I just had to get it for her.

For my mug lady, Peg who does not have a blog,
I put together a Colorado theme package.

The coffee and chocolates that I sent
are made in Colorado.

And I sent along postcards from nearby places.

Peg enjoys pocket letters
so I made one that included Colorado facts.

And for my extra package to Montse in Spain
I sent buttons, lace, and some metal wall decor.

And finally. . .
I had a participant contact me
about having her son join the mug exchange.
Typically, I keep the exchange to ladies only,
but since her son is close to my son's age
I thought it would be fun for the two to swap with one another.
My son was richly blessed by the gifts he received.

The mug is perfect for my son!

And here is what my son sent to his new friend. . .

Well, my friends,
thank you for sticking with me and looking at these many photos :)
As you can see,
the exchange was another blessed experience.

I hope you're able to stop by tomorrow or later this week
to see the many beautiful tea cups and mugs sent around the world.

Thank you for visiting.
Love and hugs!
