The Beautiful Garden Of Prayer

I PRAY because the need flows out of me
all the time, waking and sleeping.
It doesn't change God,
it changes me.
- C. S. Lewis -

There’s a garden where Jesus is waiting,
There’s a place that is wondrously fair;
For it glows with the light of His presence,
’Tis that beautiful garden of prayer.

There’s a garden where Jesus is waiting,
And I go with my burden and care
Just to learn from His lips words of comfort,
In the beautiful garden of prayer.

There’s a garden where Jesus is waiting,
And He bids you to come meet Him there;
Just to bow, and receive a new blessing,
In the beautiful garden of prayer.

Oh, the beautiful garden, the garden of prayer,
Oh, the beautiful garden of prayer;
There my Savior awaits, and He opens the gates
To the beautiful garden of prayer.
- Eleanor Allen Schroll -

The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.
- Psalm 145:18 -

Then shall ye call upon me,
and ye shall go and pray unto me,
and I will hearken unto you.
- Jeremiah 29:12 -

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.
- Hebrews 4:16 -

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning,
O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee,
and will look up.
- Psalm 5:3 -

Prayers should be the key in the morning
and the lock at night.
- Unknown -

Fear not because your prayer is stammering,
your words feeble, and your language poor.
Jesus can understand you.
- J. C. Ryle -

Have a blessed Lord's Day, friends!
Sending love and hugs your way.

Beautiful post Stephanie. This is a new song to me but I love the words! I especially love the flowers in the pictures -- spring fever has struck and seeing those makes me even more anxious for winter to end haha! Yesterday we were blessed with temps in the 50's again. I was actually raking and cleaning up the yard in just a sweater!

Wonderful post today Stephanie! I love that hymn and the scriptures... flowers always do sooth me and the prayers speaking of gardens and flowers are especially near and dear to me too. Your photos were heavenly... can't believe I'm starting to dream about spring and planting! Our temp today herein central Oregon is 64 degrees! Who wouldn't be dreaming of gardening in this weather??? I actually watched a YouTube video last night on planting a fairy garden with a water feature! (and pst... I haven't even put all my Christmas decorations away yet!). I'd better get busy huh? Thank you for refreshing me yesterday... it was a good start to my week. Blessings to you sweet lady... Marilyn
